question on actions

By hells, in X-Wing Rules Questions

so in our gaming group have a friend who runs the falcon with engine upgrade and push the limits who routinely crushes us by flying last with his falcon and then doing a boost followed by a push the limit boost to get outside our firing arcs to shoot at us.

recently ive been told by several people you cant do the same action twice and a bit of googling and searching here yielded this

i just want to make sure ive got this right, as far as im reading is that he can do one boost per turn and then no matter how many other free actions he gets he cant do another boost till the next turn?

Correct, you can never do the same action twice in one round.

There are a few instances of doing something that accomplishes the same thing as an action but isn't an action, being assigned a focus token, the barrel roll for decloaking, for example, but if something is identified as an action you can only do it once each round.

And god... A double boosting falcon would be nightmarish. That's is wrongsick.

Nope, even if he put's Leebo on as a Crew card he cant Boost, then Leebo Boost either. As far as I know it any way. So don't let him do that either. But day'um that would be a hell a fast falcon. U-turning too.

lol it was was impossible to pindown with the distance it ould move

4-straight + 2-width + 1-bank-L + 2-width + 1-bank-R + 2-width...twelve to thirteen base units forward. He would be inside your natural maximum first turn area on his first activation. Holy hell.

Dash can do this. Maybe not quite as much, but Dash's is also legal ;)

That is indeed one scary Falcon, but you can put the brakes on it by showing your friend the bottom paragraph on page 9 of the Rulebook. This has been in the rules since the beginning.
