I was wondering. You could of course put C3PO on a ship with 2 agility (YT-2400 I am looking at you) and still use it as insurance against the unfortunate possibility that you don't roll any evades. This will still happen 39% or 11% of the time depending on if you have a focus token or not.

However what if you bet that you roll 1 evade. This will happen 47% of the time if you don't have a focus token to help you so it is more likely than 0 evades, but things get even better if you have a focus token:

1 evade + 1 blank - get an extra evade from C3PO

1 evade + 1 focus - get an extra evade, then spend the focus and have 3

1 focus + 1 blank - spend the focus, then get an extra evade from C3PO

The only time that you can't use C3PO is if you roll

2 blanks - sorry this is too bad

2 focuses - well at least you 2 evades

2 evades - again you still got 2 evades

I can imagine that you can do some cool stuff with lone wolf as well.

The only problem I am seeing is there aren't any 2 agility ships that can have 2 crew members, so you can't have C3PO and a recon Specialist (who pretty much guarantees you a defensive focus)

Can you spend focus before checking 3p0.... That doesn't sound right

Focuses don't apply, it's only natural evade results. If you roll a focus and guessed zero evades on a Falcon you get an evade, then can spend the focus token for a second.
