TIE ADVANCED SUCKS... Always did.

By Joe Boss Red Seven, in X-Wing

See... it shot one lame blast then the wings fell right off the **** useless thing!!!

I will no longer defend the advanced after watching that. Now where did I put that hammer

In-des-tructible!

Now make it in 1/270 scale.

;)

The flashing lights of 2 firepower is not doing any damage!

dig those 70s stylin clothes too... LOL

dig those 70s stylin clothes too... LOL

and the haircut

Poor Vader

lol what kid would want a toy that self destructs? it was much more fun destroying toys that were not designed to be destroyed... I mean isn't that why they invented firecrackers? Matches, and BB-guns? and if the toy had an electric motor in it or magnets look out... Loved tearing apart old speakers and electric motors to get the magnets out of them..lol

They got it completely wrong! It's Han Solo that wrecks Darth's TIE, not Luke. And in other news, Han Solo always shoots first! ;)

Ahh ... this brings back such fond memories ...

Building intricate balsa ships with dad ...

Sneaking off with said ships to sail them at the local in-land lake ...

Inserting M80 into ship and lighting it ...

Sailing it near some other unsuspecting ship ...

BOOM !!!

Running ...

Lying to parental units about being there ...

Sigh. The good ole, simpler days of being irresponsible ...

Yeah...

Today you'd go to jail for that.

It's because he took expose

Ah. The good old days.

*raises hand* I loved having them fly apart, then put them back together, rinse, repeat.

I used to have those big Micro Machine Star Wars models. The first one I got was the battle damaged TIE Advanced that came with the Death Star play set. I should have taken the battle damage as a sign.

Lol I had Scout Trooper Speeder Bikes that blew apart.

I also had a C3P0 that would come apart at the limbs just like in Bespin,

How did you play your toys ? When were recreating some kind of battle in your head using the toys, somebody wins and destroy the another. It's awesome when it actually can blow up.

And even in our imagination, the TIE advanced loses.

If one side lost I would play until the other side won one...

When it was evened out then I could go to bed and actually sleep.

This would happen if Vader in the Tie Advanced had the same ability like on the crew card.

To even ole Darth out I have a few rules. One is that any pilot skilled 5 or lower is hit automatically for two critical ka-pews. The die are not even rolled. Shields will still save you, but that is it.

Pilots skilled 6 or more get to roll evades, but only to avoid getting the two auto criticals.

They will still take two normal ka-pews regardless.

Vader only rolls his red die when the skill 6 + pilots manage to get the two evades. If Vader then also gets one or two CRITS, they will still get the one or two critical hits despite rolling their lucky two evades.

Cause it is LORD DARTH VADER... DATS WHY!

Kinda puts the scare back where it should be.

I had the haircut the clothes and both the toys. The 70s were great.
