TIE ADVANCED SUCKS... Always did.

By Joe Boss Red Seven, in X-Wing

Oh man, that brings memories back. I never owned that X-Wing or TIE (kinda) advanced, but the Ewok glider, the speeder bike, the catapult, break-apart C3P0... oh yes! Good memories from a happier time.

Thanks for these posts all, you have just resurrected my inner child by about 7%! :-)

And in other news, Han Solo always shoots first! ;)

You know, Han never shot first until a couple of his associates convinced him otherwise....

Propaganda.

Propaganda.

It's all lies and false propaganda to support this antagonistic and violent government!!!

I have an idea for a vader list....

super serial you guys

New upgrade card: AUTOMATIC REPAIR!

Probably the most obscure line of Star Wars toys that Kenner ever produced. And for good reasons!!

That's just what the illuminati want you to think fool!

Ha! Yes, I had the TIE Interceptor version of that toy.

And the haircut.

For all of you clamoring for an Imperial Star Destroyer: put THIS on the table and be quiet!!!

Oh wow! That looks. . . . .

terrible, actually! Hah! I've never seen that toy before, and I think there's a good reason for that.

I would bet that the toy was overpriced as well!

That's no star dee-stroy-eer!

One kid could carry it on an arm, and that was the first clue...

My favorite star wars toy of all time:

SS851543.jpg

Sadly, a victim of the sand box, along with my Hasbro X-wing and my brother's Hasbro Tie Fighter and Tauntaun.

That's actually a pic of the 30th anniversary edition, not the original, I think. I believe the original had a darker colored turret.

My favorite part is the pube doing the herky-jerky dance across the screen at the end.

Ahh! Good times. Good times.

dig those 70s stylin clothes too... LOL

Don't pretend you weren't there too with the same style of clothes sad hair. :)

I wasn't.

I was a 90's kid.

Most confusing Star Wars playset that Kenner produced...

Is it an Imperial attack base, or is it an Imperial attack base (a base against an Imperial attack)?

The snowtroopers are using Rebel equipment and that looks suspiciously like one of the trenches that the Rebels dug out before the Battle of Hoth. That "bridge" is laughable: I got one of these playsets for Christmas and believe you me I tried to make a figure stand on it. Even looking at it the wrong way would collapse the bridge.

What's going on here? Who's shooting who? Who knows. Who cares?!

Still not as ridiculous as the Darth Vader Star Destroyer...

I had all these that were posted, still have most. Say what you want but Christmas 1980 that Star Destroyer playset was a lot if fun. especially when they you need a base for Vader other than the Death Star Playset. I mean where else were you going to meet with the bounty hunters?

Shouldn't it be Echo Base with a rebel trooper and at least an AT-ST?

Maybe a Search Droid, if Chwey is in the box ....

Obviously this 'Imperial Attack Base' is on Hoth?!

Does this make any sense?

An imperial attack base would be a Star Destroyer - or even a fleet of Star Destroyers ....

so ... WTF??

I agree, the Imperial Attack Base never made any sense the way it was marketed. But it was cool to have play sets to fuel your imagination. Much better than a bunch of action figures who always fought on the couch cushion or coffee table.
