No Episode 7 spoilers please!

By The Janitor, in X-Wing

I wanted to go into episode 7 blind, clicked into a thread that I thought was about a new Falcon build, and BAM, images from the trailer. Another post with a title that I thought was about an intercepter build, and I'm pretty sure something was spoiled. I understand some people like to know as much as they can, but PLEASE, put a warning in the title, and keep all spoliers out of the title.

Red lightsaber=bad dude

There are no spoilers in the teaser other than "it's still Star Wars".

kind of a huge spoiler given the shadow of doubt cast by the prequels :P

Dude, seriously.

You're going to have to shut off the internet entirely if pictures of the Millennium Falcon are what you consider spoilers...

For sure you'll have to stop visiting Star Wars-centric sites.

Just relax, don't read anything about plot or characters. You're going to end up seeing pics of the hardware and gear, even the characters. That's ok. The pics won't ruin the movie for you.

I'd agree. Stop reading any part of the internet that may, even remotely, deal with Star Wars. So no sites where nerds, geeks, or fanboys may venture.

So pretty much most of the internet.

Good luck. :)

And yeah, the next X-Wings look rockin'!

There's a light saber.

Vader kills Palpatine

The Emperor is cloned. Oh wait that is an EU spoiler sorry.

Oh Anikin goes to the Dark Side, oh wait that is a prequel spoiler sorry.

Darth Vader is really Luke's father, mwahahahhahahah :P

Luke is really Darth Vader's father and Ep 7 is a time travel movie like the new star trek.

You might be onto something. They're not putting "Episode VII" in the title because it actually will go back in time and retcon the entire prequel trilogy, making itself the new Episode I. Brilliant!

Man, I hate this argument with a passion lol.

Even a picture/small clips out of context can still ruin a movie when watching the full film.

Fictional example: "Oh, snap, the falcon just blew up! Oh wait, I haven't seen it being shot at by those two ships over the desert just yet. Guess it will be back somehow."

Kudos to those staying far away from all the hype. Those who disagree are just the addicts who have watched the teaser about a million times already.

Must. Resist. Posting. Picture of X-wings on water.

Must. Not. Given to the inner troll!

Man is an old issue, and is afair ask, but come on, in this days, with all the social networks, it could be imposible, good luck with this crusade, greettings.

I know dude. I had the exact same viewpoint as you on this but then tried clicking on a few unrelated threads... and literally EVERYwhere there were spoilers. Even if it wasn't pictures, it was people talking about things from the teaser.

I'll tell you this: I doubt it will be possible to avoid at least SOME spoilers for a whole year. If you are THAT serious about it, I'm telling you right now to cancel your cable, internet, and avoid all publications. Go dark. Stay off the grid... and for christ's sake please don't talk to anyone younger than the age of 65.

But if you DO end up deciding to cave in and watch the teaser trailer.... you won't find the film ruined, and you WILL be very happy. You'll probably have chills and you may shed a tear or two.

Actually it isn't as hard as most people think. I only heard one thing about Ep 2 or 3, and that didn't happen until we were standing in line for Attack of the Clones. I don't own a TV, and I have already stopped checking regular Star Wars fansites and clicking into threads everywhere else that even mention Star Wars. The hardest part is actually on sites like this. I like to stop by once a day to see if I can find any new ideas, and think that it would be common courtesy to give a warning on spoiler threads and keep them out of regular threads.

I definitely plan on being careful for the next year, because the thrill of knowing nothing makes the experience of watching a new SW movie even more incredible.

2014 is different.
