I'm sure there will be some new ships. Remember, in the EU (now Legends or whatever) X-wings were the go-to ships for decades after Endor.
Wings are offset front to back. Just noticed. So when they close it makes one surface. Interesting change.
I like the look of them. Kind of want to go start chopping at one of my X's now. Not that I have the skill to do that at all.

Here's a good question about the new X-wings. Are they more or less advanced? When the empire became Galaxy-wide their ship-quality dropped precipitously due to the need to mass-produce them. Did the rebellion do the same?

There are new ships, we just haven't seen them yet. But it's only been 30 years man.

Also looks like the character has been in a fight, judging by the bruise on his face. I'm betting this is a battle late in the movie.

-Sith-voice just isn't doing it for me (could just be disconnect)
-has anyone in previous films ever sweat on Tatooine?
-if the actual dropship scene has that flip-flop lighting it's gonna be fugly
-slab-sided-ness of the speeder is odd
Other than that, hell, it's a trailer. Trailers are always wrong.
That chunky speeder is HAWT... me likey that one..

It looks neat, sure, just not really Star Wars-y I guess.
More on about the lighting than the movement, could be stupid trailer effects, though, iirc the Godzilla trailers had the same problem.
I'd sweat it, small stuff is all we got from this trailer, that's all there is to talk about.

I think the foreground ship in the X-Wing shot is not the 'classic' X-Wing we know and love, but rather a new model. Please note that there is no Astro Droid there either. And, if you compare the S-Foils to the X-Wings in the background, those are more what we are used to.

It's not that it's small per se, it's that the earpiece bulges don't have a ridge over them like the old helmets. Kind of a step down design-wise tbh.
I suppose so. It also looks oddly like they photoshopped the helmet onto a bareheaded actor... though that's probably just the lighting, etc.

The way that lightsabers were held and used in the movies thus far, I've always figured they (basically) already were lighkatanas. They're certainly not sabers.
