Though I can't see Dutch staying alive for too long :D

Why are you putting Expert Handling on a ship that can already Barrel Roll? Shedding a target lock is not worth the stress and waste of your EPT.

Also considering a slightly different build (as i can run it now and dont need to wait till i can buy 4 Z's)

Dash - Outrider, HLC, Nien Nunb, PTL, Proton Rockets (for that one git that gets into R1)

Prototype - Chardaan Refit

Prototype - Chardaan Refit

Prototype - Chardaan Refit

- 100pts

The Proton Rockets were the only thing i could see to add and they may come in useful. PS1 is better for Blocking, they have more defence dice than the Z's and the addition of Boost and Evade on the Bar could be a life saver.

One further option would be to remove the Rockets and one of the Prototypes to add...

Green Squadron - Chardaan, Veteran Instincts

or

Lieutenant Blount (with or without VI depending if you want initiative?)

I still have 2 PS1 Blockers but one at PS5 lets me shoot ahead of most other basic support craft, or i could guarantee stripping Stealth Devices from the upcoming Auto Thruster/Stealth Device Interceptor waves!

because I thought it was worth testing it; I've never used expert handling and push the limit is used so much is getting a bit tedious :D

Didn't work for toffee though :P

This makes me sad. Saaad.

I flew the Outrider like this last night and had an absolute blast!

You only pick up stress if you don't already have barrel roll. Still shedding TLs isn't worth an EPT.

Dash enjoys a fast dial and ignoring asteroids, making his move hard to predict. I like Outrider, HLC, Predator. Maybe EU (it sucks parking right on an asteroid and not being able to roll off it.

the other ships get into the middle of things.

Made me sad to. I got my ass handed to me!

So it seems, unfortunately.

What about

(Super) Dash + PTL + Kyle + HLC + Outrider + EU (58)

Prototype + Chardian (15)

Bandit Squadron (12)

Possibly. I think this is the more common one we are starting to see the most right now.

Been running this since yesterday. Good overall performance but I have yet to test this against Phantom mini swarm and Falcon+Outrider. I want to steer away from dual yts..

So had the Winter tournament yesterday with plenty of Outriders and Decimators present. Dash is very, very good, but not the be all to end all that people make him out to be. The obvious counters do work, and he still suffers from the odd bad dice. We all agreed after the tournament that the PTL version was actually better than the VI version despite the Phantom being the most obvious counter. That is for the rest of the list to deal with, My own opinion is that Dash with title, cannon, Nien Numb and PTL escorted by 4 Bandits is going to be the list to beat, as 3 supporting ships doesn't seem to be enough. He is not that hard to kill and with a 4 ship list every turn matters; if you lose a turn of shooting then it can heavily impact him. We also noted that the crit that wipes out your secondary weapon neuters him completely, and indeed it happened to me in my last game. You might seem him flown light with light Chewie for this.

The PTL version did win the tournament though.

Push the Limit is getting boring now. Yes it's great. Yes you'd be stupid not to use it. Yes it's far too cheap.

This has some appeal:

37 Vrill,ion, tactician

25 Blue squadron, B/E2, tactician

25 Gold, R3A2, ion

13 Tala

How about this list?

Form Up (100/100)

================

HWK-290: Roark Garnet (19 + 7)

+ Blaster Turret (4)

+ Moldy Crow (3)

YT-2400: "Leebo" (34 + 18)

+ Swarm Tactics (2)

+ Heavy Laser Cannon (7)

+ Lando Calrissian (3)

+ Outrider (5)

+ Tactical Jammer (1)

Z-95: Airen Cracken (19 + 3)

+ Marksmanship (3)

I really feel a lot of comfort with Chewbacca in the crew slot. He was pretty decent on the YT-1300 before C3PO came along, and Chewie will be even better on the YT-2400 because each hull/shield counts for more with 2 agility. Then there is the horrible crit that messes up your secondary weapon. If Chewie ends up cancelling that particular crit (which kind of ruins the Outrider) or a direct hit, then you have basically gained three hit points with the added shield. Not too shabby for 4 points!

I guess my Dash would look like this right now: Predator, HLC, Chewbacca, Outrider (55 pts).
