Oh my sweet buttery goodness. Inter-friggin-ceptors are getting a huge boost vs. turrets.

Strange inclusion for auto evade on blank results at R3 though. PtL Squints can possibly evade 2 of three damage rolled with just an evade action and a blank die. If they have focus and evade, well Reb small ships are gonna have an issue pushing damage through @ R3.

Plus side is that Alpha Squad Squints may actually be viable now too. So many good possibilities for ints.

There are too many stories of Fel getting killed at Range 3 in one shot. Now, such stories are going to get much, much rarer.

That such stories would become rare is ok with me, I'm just a little concerned with how effective primary attacks from other small base ships with no secondary arc being unable to inflict damage on what should be one of the few shots that they can possibly take on an interceptor at R3. The sky isn't falling but not being able to stick on a single hit means whittling down Squints will be harder now too.

True, but remember that interceptors can be blocked far easier than a phantom can. Soontir can still die to to R1 shot if he is blocked up. If he gets to end game against 1 or 2 small base generic ships, you probably lost already.

move, do an evade, boost, whatever. at the start of combat the phase do a focus, PTL and roll/boost out of arc.

Someone may already have said this, but it doesn't work like that. You're assigning a Focus token, not taking an action.

Very nice dial. A knife fighter deluxe, but with minimal green, revealing a limitation to offset the lovely hard one.

And Autothrusters... finally a second mod for that Royal Guard title that is a slam dunk.

Autothrusters is a nice way to boost TIE Interceptors and A-Wings vs. Fat Falcons while not boosting Phantoms. Good card.

They would be hard pressed to even be able to think of a card that Phantom players would consider taking instead of ACD.

Well to be honest if they didn't have the Boost clause I would have been more excited to mount them on all my tie fighters.

True, but remember that interceptors can be blocked far easier than a phantom can. Soontir can still die to to R1 shot if he is blocked up. If he gets to end game against 1 or 2 small base generic ships, you probably lost already.

Also a true statement. Some of my favorite matches have ended in 1v1 duals with the opponent. One of my favorites was a Wedge vs. Fel dual. 6 turns of blocking, turning, and a final shot that I wished I had taken a picture of.

Nah, doesn't work like that unfortunately. She only gets assigned a focus token, she doesn't perform a focus action, so there's nothing to trigger PtL in the combat phase.

On the plus side, she can double focus with this wording.

ah good catch, but thats fine, it is almost the same result. you just boost and roll as usual, and then get the focus token anyway.

Sort of like an X-wing with S-loops in place of the K turn. Not much but still interesting.

Autothrusters are a must for Wave 2 mobility ships. Now that natural boost action seems more of a benifit than simply saving 4 points.

Still no love for the Tie Advanced.

As expensive as she would be, Guri looks like a good match with an Adv Proton Torp. FCS gets a TL on the way in and then her ability means she doesn't even have to spend an action to fire it with a focus. And even after firing she's still a PS5 Starviper (PS7 with VI) with FCS.

So what's up with all those ion tokens?! Hitting 7 ship's with one ion torp seems like a stretch.

Seems about right for hitting a TIE swarm. Of course we all already have plenty of tokens for every occasion at this point, but its theoretically nice that if you wanted to, you could play the starviper with just the tokens it comes with.
