Evolution of Fat Han - Fat V49

Stilgod, If you take any stress during the activation phase you cannot then use Yassne to get the evade. (Since it says take an evade action.) Is that taken into account in your calculations?

I have gotten into the habit of taking Black Squads+Wingman in most of my VT-49 lists and it has saved me on numerous occasions.

What is this new method of dealing with swarms that fat Han can use now?

The person using Fat Han flies better and the swarm doesn't win.

And it's not new. We already discussed it plenty on the OP falcon threads. Swarm has never been a hard counter to Fat falcon builds, the moment they were given the option to get C3PO + crew + title + Engine Upgrade. The ability to escape arcs, paired with the low damage swarms dish out individually, gives much more room. If you are jousting or getting jousted, sure, the falcon will fall down in flames, but it shouldn't be that way.

I'm excited to try Boosting post-combat though. That's an exciting new Imp only trick. Though, those first turns and 5 damage are gonna be ROUGH.

Indeed, I had considered dropping Mitchel for a Black Squad, and using Engine Upgrade instead of Anti-pursuit lasers...gotta try that next time. The list I posed previously is 2-0 at the moment, the Barrel Rolls always catch people off guard while Mara Jade helps prevent them from K-turning back at me.

That only works on lower level PS right? As higher Ps will simply keep moving and do whatever they were going to do.

Ideally, I bump lower PS on my move and barrel roll in front of higher PS so they bump and take damage+Jade. Either way, the goal is to roll out of arcs but stay in range 1.

Imo, the Decimator probably won't be as dominating because it's nowhere as easy to derp around with as the fat Falcon...

Thanks for stating it so plainly. At times, it seems this fact is not so obvious.

I think the thing that Fat Han has going for him that the Decimator can't replicate is how difficult it can be to kill once it's opponent has lost a few guns. The ability to ignore at least 2 hits a turn (3 in the case of the current world champion version of Fatty McFatterson) becomes very powerful near the end of the match.

You'll have a heavy punch but 16 hit points isn't very much when everything thrown at you is a hit. I think there will be some fun builds that come out of the VT-49 but I suspect that it will be completely overshadowed by the YT-2400.

You so cray-zee!

I was thinking just ride the TIE's behind that VT, as it can block hits with that crazy new Huge Ship Modie-Tactical Jammer-Mod-Mod!

Comes with two of 'em so yeah, tank that my impish babies!

:P

Actually, that can be a decent tactic.

put some ties or a shuttle behind big O. Blocks them from escaping behind you. You can actually keep them trapped in a corner.

one of Paul Heaver's Decimator lists:

Big O Gunner Predator

Omicron Vader

2 Obsidians

(I think the 2 points should become determination and something else, maybe Intel Agent)
