Movement Dial Storage

By Brooklyn89, in X-Wing

So I just recently ordered a Battle Foam case for my SW Xwing Minis.

I'm really excited about it! but I have heard that there is not enough room for all the movement dials in the case I got. So I am looking for some ind of packaging/storage tube or other type of case that the dials fit well in.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Which case did you order exactly?

I use the Battlefoam case for the minis, binders for cards, and then four Plano 2-3720-01 cases to hold ship bases, pegs, dials, etc...

Still leaves me putting the large based ship stuff into one of the original x-wing box in zip locks, but I'm doing ok.

I meant which model of battlefoam bag? 216, 432...?

I'm guessing you are talking to the OP. My response was also to to him.

Cheers,

Oops sorry, i was indeed believing this post was from the OP!

got a custom battle foam bag. 2" circles hold the dials perfectly..... think its like 4 dials per inch of foam. The custom treys are waaaaaay more space efficient and fun to design....

I ordered the P.A.C.K. 432. With the x-wing load out.

Like I said, I know that the case has issues holding all the dials. I've read it in the comments on the bag. What I'm looking for is some kind of tube or something that I can put just the dials in. Like maybe something that "just so happens" to fit perfectly. For example a conducting baton case or poster shipping package (obviously neither of these because I'm is too small and the other too large). But something similar is what I'm lookig for.

Plano 3700 currently fits all of my dials and base inserts (excluding large ship base inserts) for all of my ships. It's pretty much at capacity now, so will pick up another very soon which should cover me for a fair while. May end up with three, one for each faction eventually, but meh.

I have indeed seen this concerns from people buying this specific load out. I instead picked up a PACK 216 set for Phase 3 which includes a tray for templates, dials etc and a tray for ships, completed by the tray for the tantive+transport. Fits the 432 like a charm! And no dials issues.

I'm using the prize boxes for dials. Not ideal but it's nice, and gives a purpose to the boxes.

Cool! Thanks for all the suggestions! I really like TopHatGorrilla's idea of using the coin storage boxes!

I have never tried it, but I always thought that a perfect storage system for the dials might be an old "POG" tube. I think they are the same size as the pog chips where, but I haven't tried it out to be sure. I used to have one that would be perfect, if I could only find it.

I store mine in the same $10 Wal-Mart plastic fishing tackle box tray that I store my miniatures and counters in.
