Worlds was Fett last year, and we didn't see anything major for him. I think they're just running through all the characters they can that have movie shots.

Eh, fair point... but at the very least what we've seen so far have been "alternate acrylic", first with target locks and then shields. So far, nothing above regionals has been an actually new token.

But it's still early and I'm obviously not remembering everything at this point, so take that for what it's worth

I hear you on the no 'new' acrylics. I was just hoping that with the Store Championships next year reissuing focus tokens that we'd see them complete the set. Maybe they don't want to make crits because nobody but me uses them.

We're still getting tokens with each of the game night kits. I suspect we'll see crits in there soon. It's pretty close to the only token left.

What I hope is that they're going to stop making unique, hard-to-get tokens as part of the big events, and treat big event tokens like game night cards - a different color, something visually unique but not otherwise different from what you get in the game night kits. They've done this with the target locks and now shields, although they did do evades for last year's regionals. Maybe they started the idea after that, or consider regionals small enough to do unique tokens for... No idea. Either way, we've about run through everything, so it's going to be reprints soon one way or another.

I'm sure that's probably the case, but it just struck me as a possibility, maybe to get the excitement level up over the changes coming. Other than what you mentioned, I couldn't think of any other reason for it. It's such an underused ship it seemed silly to have it as the give away card for this tourney..

Well, again, last year was Fett, who sees play on about the same level as Vader. The Falcon is obviously a good ship, but last year's GenCon was Lando, the least popular of the three. And the game night kits have seen such common staples as Ten and Jendon, so... <shrug>

Maybe they're being sneaky this time in getting out a pilot that correlates to what's coming, but I don't really see any reason to think they are.

Personally, I want the card because its Vader, not to play it really, just to have it.

It is a shame they chose a less popular ship and pilot to do for Worlds, but that is still OK in my book.

Of all the alt cards, I think I wouldn't mind this one. I have 2 of the oversized Solo/Fett cards, and they are neat, but overall I'm not a fan of the alt cards. Or the acrylic tokens for that matter, I see too many people abusing them for profit. These are freebies at tournies, they shouldn't bring high prices at the auction block.. that's just my opinion and I'm not trying to start an arguement.. just my 2 credits
