The Vipers were supposed to be highly maneuverable due to the wings being able to move and moderate the fighters position individually.

It SHOULD be as good as an A-Wing, but it won't be.

Price. As a Scum ship the StarViper isn't competing with the TIE interceptor. The Defender had to be highly distinct from the Interceptor: the Viper has no such restriction. My prediction is it'll be TIE interceptor-esque with the Segnor maneuver instead of the K-turn, and the Virago is then like what an Advanced Sensors interceptor would be like.

I've got 4 coming in my preorder. I might repaint two in their colors, but as mirror images of each other in honor of this thread.

Xizor with Virago and sensor jammer plus Palob would be good combo. I'm hoping for an EPT on the PS3 to give it Bodyguard EPT. At this point I'm considering:

Xizor: virago, sensor jammer

Palob: opportunist, blaster turret, recon specialist

Kaa'to: bodyguard

Black Sun Soldier: feedback array

It looks like something that has to be played like an Interceptor, but has lower PS, and I don't like the highest PS pilot (Xizor). Probably going to order only 1

I'm waiting to see what the rest of the mods and Talents are, but I managed to kit out Xizor and fit four Black Sun Soldier Headhunters with Feedback Arrays into 100 points. I'm really looking forward to how these guys are gonna play.

I have nothing to add to the Star Viper discussion. I only wanted to mention I loved the G.I.Joe reference. That was one of my favorite episodes! It makes me feel not quite so old that many others got it too.
