MOST WANTED PART 2

They are still the cheapest bombers.

I've never used a bomb but I do like y wings. Should be fun.

The two attacks per round mod sounds interesting but we'd need a better turret option to make it really useful.

On the other hand, imagine 4 such y wings with ion cannon turret against a falcon, or any other low agility ship. Ouch.

And durable, too. I'm not.arguing bombers don't currently sort of suck, but they really aren't far from breaking into highly valuable territory. Maybe a new bomb or two or some other kind of upgrade and they could be awesome. They've already got a lot going for them on paper.

Shrug. Bombers (without Jonus) just did really well in the Canadian Nationals. Seems to be doing fine to me. And the more ordnance we get, the better they get.

I just want them to have a way to be more proactive with bombs - something like being able to place bombs after movement for example (maybe with a straight 2 drop however).

Whilst it would mean a faction swap, I am considering playing with the Y-Wing/Ion turret/Bomb combo. That as least opens up the idea of ionising your target to ensure they'll be where you're dropping the bomb :)

2 agility and 6 hull is not durable. It's more durable than a TIE Fighter sure, but so is Bounty.

Pretty sure 2/6 is more or at least "as" durable as 1/8 on average. A killer crit every now and then doesn't REALLY make it less durable, just swingier.

It's also really durable for its cost.

It's also really durable for its cost.

I mean, it's 16 points for 6 hull. It's hard to beat.

Accounting for overall durability, it is actually the most durable ship for its cost, around 9% - 10% better than the TIE Fighter. It's not, however, the most effective jouster, since it still only has 2 attack dice. It's stat / cost efficiency is still alright, but not as good as a TIE Fighter. So it won't ever really replace the standard TIE Fighter, but can make for an interesting substitution.
