How can we be more inclusive of those who are Amish?

By KnightShift, in X-Wing

There is nothing in the Ordnung about not playing miniature games, but man it's going to be tough playing without much opportunity to watch the movies. How do we accommodate for the Amish?

"Be careful out there among them English."

Keep on hand lanterns bright enough by which to read the small print on upgrade cards.

Don't use the Dice App.

I think forcing them to play with plastics is offense and belittling. If FFG wants to be more inclusive they need to release an edition of hand whittled ships.

Learn to whittle and use only wood models.

Sometimes i wonder what it must be like for any admins monitoring these forums:

Admin: "All right another day of watching guys complain about boardgames... let's see "how can we be more incl- awww jeez! What are they doing now?"

'Tis a nice TIE but it sure ain't no TIE-advanced, english.

You make another one about "including the mormons" and i'll post something about "magnets"! :D

Funny thing is i am English that's not an insult to me but a point of pride :)

Hijacking this thread for a sec, but it's there a single Irish character in Star Wars!?

Ah, there's very little actual real complaining going on to be honest. Just a lot of good-natured japery while we await the next release.

They would have to lift their head from their pints to take notice i think we are safe from their slurred outrage.

Too soon it was only 150 years ago since the famine.

Clear sign of the mashiarchy

Hey, we want to keep the Amish out, lest our Fat Hans be severely punished for Gluttony!

Someone complained about my last thread about including animals and the admins deleted it.

I think we're just a step away from having a thread asking how we can be more inclusive to people who start inclusivity threads.

As for the Amish, I think we just need to hit them up with x-wing during their Rumspringa.

INC(lusive)EPTION!

I think we're just a step away from having a thread asking how we can be more inclusive to people who start inclusivity threads.

I think the first step is admitting that we are unwashed, simple, shortsighted beings that only argue with them because deep down we fear the righteous, luminosity of their glorious PHD that they have every right to remind us of every page.

In Amish culture you are either "plain" (i.e. Old-Order Mennonite aka Amish) or you are "English" (everyone else). You could be a Hungarian Orthodox and in Amish terms you would still be "English".

I guess that means you're an "English" English aye? ;)

To bad that no-one can ever be "plain English" :)

So long as they don't pick where we eat after gaming.
