On a regular TIE Fighter, how best are Blood Stripes done. 2 vertical, horizontal or X? Single Stripe? Looking to make one stand out for named pilot(s).

I went with vertical and then painted a solid red and two solid black.

I made mine with a horizontal. Only to find out that the Tie Fighter is one in the tie series that has a vertical stripe...

Still looks decent. I use it for when I field a unique pilot (normally Howl or Backstab), and is among plain academy ties

I've also seen TIEs with chevron ( ^ ) bloodstripes, that looked pretty cool.

I just think they look wierd on TIE/ln

If you've got ten kills and not died in an LN you should be flying an interceptor at the very least going by the lore.

I paint my Bombers in Gamma Squadron colors (white horizontal stripes), and decided to paint a Fighter to match as an escort ship. It turned out all right, but I feel like chevrons or diagonal stripes would look better on the Fighter's larger solar panels.

Canonically they are vertical through the center. This was displayed in Attack Squadrons briefly.

Went with single vertical but slightly different from the above pics in that I did the stripe across the middle hub as well. I gotta be me I guess. Thank peeps.

I don't care for the vertical stripes. Do like the chevrons though. I could also see putting a closed, regular polygon around the hub. I could see square, pentagon, hex or maybe a circle all working.

Would like to see some pictures of 2 horizontal stripes like on the interceptors.

I am almost tempted to do a couple vertical stripes in my TIEs now. Many of these look really well done.

Vertical stripes are dead easy to do, just follow the lines on the solar panels. If I can do it anyone can!
