Help Me Choose A B-Wing + Gunner Build

I can see where you are going with opportunist on Keyan, but with all your Pilots at lower PS, you're much more dependent on your opponent to give you the opportunity to use it than I'd be comfortable with.

PTL is a more obvious choice in Keyan's EPT slot

Yup, list 2. You won't get any reliable use of Opportunist in List 1.

I'd also like to mention the use of Gunner on Keyan will be low if you are using Opportunist, throwing 4 or 5 dice with the stress you can spend as focus. Save 6 points and take Gunner off list 1

Then maybe spend some extra points on that HWK and upgrade it to Roark. Use him to push up one of your Bandits to PS12 and hope that it forces the enemy to spend a token. Then, you can activate Opportunist on Keyan.

+2. As much as I like Keyan, he is a dead man in list no'1, and an expensive dead man at that.

If you're sold on Opportunist on Keyan, you could try shaving 3 points from the squad and use Roark instead of the rebel operative to give one of your Z95s an opportunity for token stripping prior to Keyan's shot.

But with the Zs only rolling 2 red, that's far from a sure thing.

Alternatively for 37 points you can get 2 Z95s ( Airen + Blount + VI ) with higher PS than Keyan.

Of course you are losing a ship and a proportion of the points are spent purely on a PS bid in order to make a reliable stress generator for Keyan.

Also the HWK build looks set up to do very little else than create an ion platform that's a point cheaper than a GSP ICT build which will do the job better

It all seems a rather convoluted and clumsy, when PTL is a more reliable stress generator and will give you the extra point required for GSP+ICT.
So a cleaner way to achieve the same result would look something like this:

Keyan + Opportunist does not need (or really get helped by gunner)

Keyan with opportunist almost never misses.

Putting a gunner on it pretty much just increases the cost (by 6)

If I were to put a gunner on a B-Wing I would want to make sure it had EU, since you really want it to get a shot every round.

Not possible - EU takes the same slot as the crew seat
