Did you have Micronauts in the UK? They were awesome.

You over-privileged little bastards. Here in Sweden we mostly just had Transformers, Turtles and He-Man when I was a kid. And now I feel old again. :D

Gen one transformers were amazing when they came out, kicked the ass of those lame gobots.

I bet you had some kick-ass Moomin toys though...my sister cried for weeks when my parents couldn't find a Moomin for her one Christmas.

Oh man , just looked at the bone age range

It just doesnt make any sense....

like cavemen make a bomber out of bones?

R&D dept must have been on acid that month.

I like to think it was an in-joke prank that got out of hand when some middle-management drone with no sense of humour didn't get it...

Thankfully no. I've never liked the Moomin, even when I was a kid that stuff never appealed to me. It's like Finnish version of Teletubbies. *Shudders violently*

Oh man that micronauts cosmic crusiser brough back some memories.

My parents bought me that once early in the day then we went food shopping at this huge mall (you didnt get big malls that much in the UK then, this was like one of the first places to have mcdonalds etc) and it was left on the back seat.

some git broke into our car and stole that.

I was gutted (my parents were not too happy either but obviously not about the toy).

I mean smashing a window for a micronauts toy.. low eh?

Micronauts never caught on in the uk, or if they did by the time i found out about them they were on the way out as they were always really cheap. I quite often got them as presents in the times my parents were struggling. I was once delighted to have the micronauts monorail set with modular building pieces and domes.. it was on sale for some stupidly low price and i was able to have it for a birthday.

man looking back on it i had a really weird childhood... either spoiled rotten or utterly pennyless...

Like i say , hippy parents, rubbish with money :)

Moomins were *really* creepy. It was on TV in the UK and you always felt like you'd been drugged watching it.

They must've reeeealy like micronauts.

Back when I still had dreams the moomins haunted them, disturbing show on many levels.

I don't know man...I can totally believe someone smashed a car window for a toy in 80's Britain. The "money money money everywhere" 90's sort of made you forget how low income most people were in the 70's and 80's. And burglary was way more common then too.

Weird all the Moomin hate...I liked them because they were happy magical forest hippos.

i was mainly into lego, to the extend that i never even asked for any other toys really (i ended up with an awful lot of lego). however, I found some Starcom stuff at a jumble sale but being from the UK, i hated the US flags all over them so made my own Union flags and stuck them over the top. I had a lot more fun with them after that! :)

Most of those are after my time. But we did have the original Star Wars toys in my day.

Oh man - MASK and Sky Commander - totally forgot about those. Nice.

I heard there was a mask live action movie coming, more of my childhood will be tainted :(

I think I just missed mask - they had the heat sensitive strips that revealed a logo right?

My big nostalgia line is Kenner's Mega Force. I bought so many of them when I discovered eBay...

No MASK were little guys the wore Big helmets and piloted vehicles that could transform Into other vehicles...

Such as Thunderhawk that changed from a Camero into a Fighterjet, simply by opening it's doors, because that would totally work. And who wouldn't want to fly a muscle-car fighter-jet into combat without and protection other than a seatbelt.
