Selling my X-Wing, I've found the Star Wars Tabletop game I've been waiting for.

By Darth Ruin, in X-Wing

I did write rules for army men. It was really simple. It basically ripped off WH40K's AV System.

It uses D6s. Every model has three different values. Accuracy, Toughness, Wounds.

Accuracy represents the number on a D6 that you need to roll at or below. Things like moving or moving or shooting multiple shots reduces your accuracy.

Toughness represents how hard you are to wound. The higher the better. To wound someone, after a hit has been scored, you at a D6 roll to the strength of your weapon and try to equal or beat their toughness. If the target was in cover, then you have to beat their toughness.

Wounds are how many times you can be wounded before you die.

Everyone moves 6".

You can activate three of your models every turn.

There were more rules, but it pretty much worked for most toys.

Anyone play Crossbows and Catapults as a kid? This seems like a Star Wars version of sorts. I would have been all over this.

Oh yeah, now that you mention it I used to love that game when I was younger!

I loved that game! I had all the expansions. My favourite was the Minotaur and Cyclops expansions as the Cyclops really whipped those discs!

I do see one problem with this game, the star destroyer is not too the proper scale!

(runs away giggling)

You know, that marble shooter concept is a good idea.

I mean, forget reading the results of the dice. Primary weapon value simply stands for how many dice you can physically whip at the defender: knock it down and it blows up.

And make agility value represent how many swats you get to block the attack.

safety goggles not included

Dear Armand Hammer,

Why did you star in The Lone Ranger? It was terrible. Didn't you read the script? Weren't their other roles you could have taken instead? The film wounded me, right in the childhood.

Sincerely,

Bakura83

I don't even ... what's a Lone Ranger?

I'm sorry about your broken heart. Let's get together and talk it out like men... while we play Star Wars command.

£50 on Amazon but if you shop around a bit it may be cheaper elsewhere.

Am I the only one that sees a perfect way to play "Little Wars" with star wars stuff?

It was Tarkin's game of choice, after all.

You know, those figs might come in handy for the three Star Wars RPGs that FFG has.....just saying.

But batteries aren't included...

Also reminds me of Weapons and Warriors. My brother and I LOVED that game
