Don't get me wrong, I am very much anticipating Wave 6 ships and the arrival of the new faction. However with this there are some concerns I have. I'm sure some of you have those concerns too. I know it happens every wave (such as the worry over wave 5 with 2 more large ships with turrets making arc dodging tactics null)
So with wave 6 here are a couple of concerns.
- 1st one is obviously with the new faction will it function like a new and different faction or would it be more like Rebels with Boba Fet? With reusing already released ships (mostly from the rebels) I can see many possibilities where scum can turn into just another rebel faction. Problem is will it be more or less powerful or will it cause one other faction to disappear due to one faction being more powerful version of the other or due to one faction build completely destroying anything another faction can field. I know FFG is trying to alleviate many of these concerns with separating upgrade slots and different pilot abilities for unique pilots, and adjusting pilot skill stats on the non-unique pilots.
- The 2nd one is with Accuracy corrector and its affects on low agility ships such as Y-wings and B-wings. On one hand this could be good for thematic purposes as now the B-wing is one of the best dog fighters in the game however fluff-wise it is supposed to be one of the worst dog fighters. This could make higher agility ships have better survivallibility in the current meta which favors high hit points over high damage reduction. Not to mention seeing some combinations with say autoblasters which removes any sort of defense.
So what are your concerns or due you have any insight which may relieve some of those concerns?
