404 error. Overload?
Yeah, AWS has been acting up ever since I moved the site to a load balancer. The bitter irony is that this change, which was supposed to keep the site up through heavy traffic, has actually made it less reliable. I need to talk with Amazon to find out what is going on, but that involves paying for one of their support plans... *sigh* hosting costs are a pain in my furry neck...
In the mean time, I bounced the server and everything appears to be working again.
Couldn“t you do a Give the Bear a Coat-campaign? Just set up some action where people can donate to support your site and give them a Bear sticker in return (you get the idea)
Actually, we of the Grey Company have been discussing using Patreon to let listeners help out, if they are so inclined. Hopefully, we can get something setup with this and I can get Amazon to resolve whatever is causing the load balancer to die once a day. Meanwhile, I am babysitting the site to reset it when things go awry.
Where do you get the images? Those look like the official images with the black corners that they started using recently. Do they ship out the images to third party resources, or do you just know a back door to get the images, or do you just do a good job scanning them?

You're a sneaky bugger. If I became a bear, would you share your secrets with me? ![]()
Hi Dan!
When I click on the button "Home" on your card search web site, I see page with Microsoft Server IIS8 screen.
And many times your web site reports "404 - File or directory not found".
Uh oh. The place where he secretly gets his images has caught on and is trying to shut him down!

Thanks for the heads up, Laco. I recently switched to hosting the site on a load balancer to deal with an increase in traffic and there have been some issues with it. I am working to resolve them, so there may be minor outages in the mean time. At least for me, it seems to be settling down over the last couple of days. Do let me know if you are still getting 404 errors. Thanks for your patience.
Thanks for your efforts!
A great thing you've done for this community, many thanks for that & keep up the excellent work!
