Not EVERY piece can be a winner (**ahum, cough, cough** Y-Wing) and as more waves are produced, the natural inclination is to make the new models distict by outclassing the previous waves. The Z-95 being a nitch exception, not the rule. By the time Wave 7 or 8 comes around, the X-Wing will be extinct.

Y-wings are boring, with really only a narrow handful of effective builds, but those builds are effective. And the X-wing isn't going anywhere; the chassis is a little overpriced in comparison to the B-wing, but it has some of the best unique pilots in the game and access to one of the more powerful upgrade slots.

Not really any ship that can take it has three attack already, without TL or focus your looking at 1.5 hits anyway with either of those it's much higher.

Two guaranteed hits is hardly game breaking, two crits would of been.
