Upon reading the THERIAN handbook for AT-43, I was astonished to realise they were the setting's "true" humans, using clones to destroy worlds through pollution in order to stop the universe's motion. Awesome in breadth for a wargame! The environmentalist metaphor was also very well crafted.

I wondered where the inspiration came from for this idea; does anybody know which influences may have driven this setting element?
