Rebel aces issue to look out for...

By Wayne Argabright, in X-Wing

received my Rebel aces packs today and while assembling the dials i almost put the "A" wing dial on the "B" wings backing. It wasn't an issue with any other packs as they all had the same ships and same dials in them.... and they are not labeled as to which dial goes with which... i just compared them to my other "A"s and "B"s... and if they are labeled maybe i just missed it???

The punches should be labeled, in very small print, on the face of the bottom half of the dial: "BW" for B-wings and "AW" for A-wings. Easy to miss, though.

Actually, they are labeled. If you look below the center hole, the A-wing says AW while the B-wing says BW. Also, you should be able to tell just by the maneuvers

You can check the code numbers shown on the dials, saves digging through for an A or B dial.

Good lord, the one with all the red maneuvers is the B, and the one with all the green is the A.

Just look for the dial with the 2K turn.

Well, there's always that method, too.

Whoa--the B-wing that comes with Rebel Aces is amazing! Lookit all the green maneuvers!

....makes for crappy A-Wings and frakking awesome LOLWTFBBQSAMMICH B-Wings!

No kidding. I'd pay double points for a B-wing with an A-wing's dial. easy.

I just looked at the dial, this one is covered in red maneuvers and this one is not.

You'd need Tyco just to get around in that A-wing.

Yeah, I was assembling my dials last night. I had just snapped one together when it dawned on me that I should have looked. When I glanced at it (not being too familiar with either dial), I saw that I had the B-Wing face in my hand, and the dial that wasn't in my hand had a ton of green on it.

So, I didn't have to take it apart again.

Real men don't look at instructions you just stick things together and if there are parts left over then that's obviously how it's ment to be.

They always include extra screws and bolts, and I am pretty sure the instructions for how to start the grill said to use the paper as a firestarter

The issue in my pack was that the Bwing is a bit wonky, not a straight cross. Looks kind of cool though.

Welcome to the B-wonk club.

Related: My friend has a wonky bomber too, wings raked downwards.

I also have a wonky Tie, Wings/engines out of line. Always use that one for DarkCurse.

Now where did I misplace the 'a' in "meant"...?

Just like when you put this post together, you had a letter "a" left over. It was just me"a"nt to be.

****, you beat me to it! :)

All of my ties are faced downward by about 10 degrees. I was wondering if I should complain but I've already had them painted.

I'll probably get a Z replaced though. Totally mashed up weird. Also lost the level 2 baseplates.
