Help with a two ship build?

By Lord Ashram, in X-Wing

Hi all,

Okay, I am considering a two ship build, but needed some guidance.

Han Solo in the Falcon w/C3PO, the Falcon title, and... uhhh... anything else?

Corran Horn with Push the Limit, Shield upgrade, Fire Control, and... R2D2? Or R7?

With R2D2 I am at 98 points... I'd like to spend an even hundred.

I don't know what I will face, but I think at least one Phantom will be in the enemy fleet.

Any advice? Maybe elusiveness on the Falcon? I've never used the E wing before, and am not so familiar with the Falcon.

Any help VERY welcome! :)

The e-wing needs to arc dodge especially if your using corans double tap so you'll want ptl, he'll have a few turns to cause havoc so it might be worth saving the double tap for when the phantoms in his sights.

That Solo build will not do very much damage. I had good luck with a similar list.

I added in Luke and dropped the shield upgrade and didn't take C3PO. I think Han/Corran relies on Corran to be a real threat to some ships and Han to whittle away at everything else. If you are taking evades and don't have Luke or at least Gunner then your output is really low.

Thanks! Hmmm... why would solo not do some damage? Doesn't he get that reroll? Would something like decoy work on the falcon, to boost its damage output, or does that then work counter to the whole falcon title?

I don't use the falcon a lot and NEVER use the E-wing, so really need some help:(

Okay, let me ask... What do you think of lone wolf on Han? I mean, with two ships I can keep them away from each other a bit, no?

Anyone giving this a read?:)

If he rerolls it's still just like rolling them all again. Get some dice and see how much damage he does.

I would just VI. It's cheap and very effective. Han needs his escort so LW wouldn't do much.

First thing I put on a falcon is the Falcon Title, but second is Gunner (if I don't go all the way to Luke). Han + Gunner is such a great combo it means you can pick up all your dice and reroll them even if the original result is just a little below average. Also you want gunner so that your actions can be spent on defense. (The only time you don't evade is when you can boost/barrel roll out of a firin arc.

The 3PO that everyone is talking about makes the above falcon better, but it isn't a repalcement for gunner. If you want to do offensive actions you need another way to get them like PtL or Kyle/Lando near by.

Han's ability isn't always such a great help at getting him putting out more damage. It may let you reroll a bad roll but if you get an average roll you're best off just letting it stand. With a Gunner in the mix you can take that average first roll and see what your opponent does to it and if it misses then you just hit them again. If you are firing at a target with one use damage avoidance (Focus/Evade tokens mostly) Han may force their use with the initial attack and then the Gunner followup doesn't need to deal with them.
