Any good solo practice missions?

By Jon kerr, in X-Wing

Does anyone know of any decent practice missions that can be played as 1 player with some rules for the enemy AI?

I've seen the Han Solo vs. Soontir Fell solo mission, which is designed to teach you how to use the Interceptor's maneuverability to take advantage of asteroids. I haven't tried it yet as I don't own a Falcon, but I love the idea.

Are there any other similar missions? I can imagine one teaching you how to play against a Swarm, or a Jousting squad, could be really useful.

Find some to practice with.

Im not sure if there is much you can do solo apart from practicing movement though that is a good place to stArt

Dont play with yourself that's how you get hairy hands, find another consenting adult to blast into space dust.

I like to just put a bunch of asteroids on the table and fly formations throught them. It is more about practice then it is about playing solo games.

I'm building a series of single player missions based on the TIE Fighter PC game. It's not really that useful for practicing for tournaments, but I try to keep the odds slightly against you to keep it challenging and interesting. Just search the mission builder for Imperial Cadet.

Lay down some asteroids/obstacles as well as some objectives on your gameboard. Practive maneuvering around the obstacles while trying to pass over and pick up the objectives. In other games, change out the objectives to be lasers that have a fixed firing arc. Give them something like 3 Attack and 0 Agility with varying Pilot Skills, Shields, and Hull Points. Your objective is to take as many of them out in a set number of turns.

This sounds like a great idea. I have never thought to try a solo mission. I am going to go home after work and practice shooting astroids . It will be better than the video game. ha ha ha
