A fellow player from league (who happens to be a regional champion) has said that the game meta has shifted into more of a RPS state where having the right build is now more important then having the right plays in game. After reading the forums that appears to be the case where you got swarms beat falcon, falcon beats phantom, and phantom beats swarms.
Now some might call this balance but I tend to disagree. True while there is no unbeatable builds, I still think that builds should have a chance at winning even when at a disadvantage. Now I am not saying that certain builds should not be strong against other builds nor am I saying that builds should not have weaknesses. It is part of the theme and strategy when playing a game.
I am bringing this up because it seems like that's the state the game is in. And with a 3rd faction on its way will we see something like Imperial beats Scum, Scum beats Rebel, and Rebel beats Imperial. How do you think we can keep the balance and not have it where it depends on what faction or meta build that determines if you win before you start the game?
