What Scum & Villany ship are you most interested in seeing in the table?

By zathras23, in X-Wing

M3A. I've never run a full swarm before and I think these chaps will be my first...subject to viability.

Call me a sucker for a villainness, but I like the idea of flying the Binayre Pirates. I hope they come out with a Scum Kath Scarlet and Z-95 henchmen.

Kath Scarlet's visible in the preview as the third Firespray pilot.

I was never in love with the Imperial Boba, so the REAL Boba Fett is my number one pick. The Scyk is number two. IG-88 has to be the second best Bounty Hunter so I am very happy to see it (them) come to the table too.

Basically Scum & Villainy is my second favorite faction.

Hard to decided between running 4 HLC or generally messing with the enemy with a new HWK.

Star. Viper. An interceptor with built in sheild upgrade and the s loop?!?! Count me in. Oh, and it looks good too!

Combo'd with the defensice reroll "seek" fighter and I'm happy.

I too am awaiting the hwk and firespray updates. Don't tell the empire, but I might be doing a little merc work on the side.

Reported to the nearest ISB agency! Back on topic I'm excited for IG-2000 and the new firesprays as well as the star viper. The scyk is the one I'm the least interested in but I'll still buy it (Probably 4 or 5 actually).

Scyk looks to be one of the most points efficient ships in the game. Don't brush it off.

I expect the PS2 generic to be at 13-14 pts and to have a dial similar to the Tie Fighter. It was a maneuvrable ship (already shown by the barrel roll and evade action) and giving it a dial similar to the Z-95 would make it compete with another cheap ship of the same faction.

Compared with the Academy Pilot (12pts) (excluding dial of course cause we can't be sure), it has:

-One more PS

-Target Lock on the Action Bar

-2 Hull/1 Shield instead of 3 Hull

Compared with the Prototype Pilot (15pts with Refit)

-One more PS

-One less shield

-Barrel Roll instead of Boost

Scum Y-Wings. Ys are my favorite ship, so I'm eager to see what these babies can do!

I believe MajorJuggler has already put the Scyk through his jousting value chart... It ranked highly.

Anything that helps Y wings is good for me.

Same here, I'm trying to figure out the point cost of the generics. I think it will have a slightly higher point cost than a ScumZie-95 but less than an A-wing. Sort of like a reverse Charadan refit.

14 points for the PS2 Generic unless the PS8 pays points for its ability.

I think this sums it up:

That's the Howl light ship?

That probably costs a point... 13 for the scyck would be excellent... 4 HLC!

It might actually. Giving a defensive reroll to every ship at range 1 can really boost a swarm and have a huge impact in a game. So I would not mind paying 1 more point for this ability.

No need to put it through a jousting value chart to know it will be a very good ship. I was only comparing with what I think are the closest ship to see where it might sit costwise. When compared with the Tie, I see it more at 14 pts, but when I compare it to the Refit A-Wing and highest pilot cost, I think it is closer to 13pts.

Yeah, it's basically an identical stat line to a TIE Fighter, so its jousting value (regardless of cost) is going to be, by definition, just a hair higher than 12 points at PS1. Its cost effectiveness will depend on how much the PS2 costs, and obviously what its dial looks like. Looking at it again, based on 20 points at PS8, I'm guessing 13 or 14 points at PS2, which is effectively 12.5 or 13.5 points at PS1. If its 14 points at PS2 then I don't know how much use it will really get, but 13 points could be compelling.

I do love me some low cost low PS efficiency monsters...

One reason why the Scyk will be awesome: it comes with a "GG" target lock... I'm not the only one who thought of all the hilarious situations where you could use it when hunting down the opponent's final ship, am I? :P

My thought exactly.

Another point to keep in mind though is that the cheap fighter/filler spot will already be taken by the Z-95 and seeing how they priced the E-Wing and Defender, I think FFG is being more prudent with their unit cost. So my personnal guess is 14 pts with a dial close to the A-Wing. They did compare it to the Interceptor and A-Wing during the Team Covenant interview.

I'm really hoping for it to be 13 points, so the Scum will generally be bringing lots of low PS cannon fodder, lots of Z-95s and Scyks. It's very thematic.

12 points for a PS1 Z-95 w/ an illicit upgrade (that honestly will probably never get used on a 12 point ship), and 13 points for a PS2 Scyk would make the backbone of the Scum fleet. The rest of the ships have much lower cost efficiency, so you are going to have to be smart and use them sparingly and intelligently. I'm still not expecting Y-wings to be useful without turrets, but you could see some new turrets bring life back to the Y-wings again.

IG-2000 but just because was IG-88's ships :)

Firespray, cos, you know, it's a Firespray.

Hoping for 12 Point PS2 Scyks, but doubtful. Apart from that HWK because I like support models.

With the action bar the Scyk has (focus, target lock, boost, barrel roll) and PS2, 13 points sounds unlikely to me, more like 14.

To clear this up, the PS8 is 20 points. Assuming it costs 1 point for 1 PS, the PS2 generic is 14 Points. I'll let the real math experts calculate on efficiency. :D
