They are not argueing "because they are offended by them being women", but because they care about it when debating the lore. Yes, it is nerdy, but there is no misoginy on that. And seriously, it is tiresome how hard you try to provoke this discussions. Noone is here to hunt you down, or women.
Edited by DreadStarCHALLENGE - How man women in one build?
A few of you, including the dork who liked your post.
Thanks for that, gave me a great reason to report your post, because it's a clear case of trolling if I've ever seen one.
Debate is over they are women.
The debate is over, only it's people who can't accept the facts that keep it going. Because it's well established that Echo is a male, and no one knows the gender of Whisper.
Months of this is straight up creepy.
You're the one who brought it up again not us.
challenging the inclusion of new women pilots at every single opportunity is quite another.
No one challenges the inclusion of women pilots, only the mislabeling of the pilots for god only knows what reason. But then again, this was put to rest over 1 month ago... The fact that you feel the need to bring it back up says quite a lot about who has issues letting something go.
Edited by VanorDMLol k. What jokes.
*sigh*
I had hoped that the lot of you would have presumed good intentions over bad intentions from one another. As the 'debate' started out, I thought it was good-natured ribbing, which then seemed to descend.
For my part, I like the increasing inclusion of female characters, and I suspect that FFG is being purposeful about this, while at the same time being purposefully obscure about (at least) Echo. (The last I read, I thought Echo was female. When did that change?)
I also really like the idea of an all-female Imperial list. I would like to claim noble reasons for doing so, but I'm afraid that's because I think women in Imperial uniform are seriously hot - especially the one in Ruthlessness.
Back to seriousness: gender discrimination is a real thing, and it's quite easy to fall into it. I really try not to (same as other forms of prejudicial thinking), but I'm only human. At the same time, it's another thing to accuse everyone making a comment that might be prejudicial as being a statement of bad faith.
So, people: chill out.

Way to kill the conversation there, buddy.
What makes you think FFG decided genders? Maybe they're as consistent as the forum.
In my book, Echo is male and Whisper is female because that's the way around I saw it first.

They're clearly both MTF, and anyone who disagrees can take it up with my head-canon.
Let's just say the Empire is very progressive when it comes to medical coverage.
Hardly: they'll shove you inside an invisible starfighter.
