I posted this in a different three but I thought that more people might find it useful. I have a fix that is very cheap and works wonders. Buy some cyanoacrylate glue(superglue) and put a thin layer on the outside edge of your dials. Make sure you take the dial apart and let it fully dry before reassembly. The glue seeps in little bit and within a few minutes the edges become rock hard. Do not buy the gel, you need the liquid glue or it goes on too thick. I bought a 2 oz bottle of medium methyl glue from a seller on eBay named themudduck for $10.00. The bottles you get at the store are about $3-4 for .15-.20 oz so much more expensive, I highly suggest the eBay route.
What I did to fix my worn out movement dials
I've used gel superglue a few times on dials that split a little after being punched out, seemed to do the trick. I guess it's just the difference between spot jobs and the entire thing.
