Off-topic Robotech RPG Tactics finally ships today!!! smh!

About time!!

Time to get my paints and brushes ready!

I think most of us forgot about this game.

:)

This thread is worthless without pictures.

I've been waiting for this, gonna use the mechs with battletech if the scales right.

They aren't Hobo. I am actually thinking about picking this up. After I demo'ed it at Gen Con I think I'm sold on it.

Can't see fit to give Harmony Gold any money.

You can always cover the "Robotech" logo with Macross. :)

Ooooo! Sweet! I'd be interested to hear about the game balance and mechanics. IIRC, the Robotech RPG system was way broken. I've not played or looked at it but that was the feedback I got from those that did.

I think this plays something along the lines of 40k and infinity. I may be wrong....but what's cool is that veritech fighters do transform and work accordingly. I can't wait to get mine.

Same, very excited. Any word if the bags are shipping with this wave?

I ordered extra Zentradi stuff, I wonder if I should have just ordered double box sets instead.

When we get them we should all work together to create conversion rules. I like this system better

The nice thing about this game....we can play both ground and space battles!!!

A pic of this game be demo'd came up in a search for GenCon pics and I was like wth is this? I like Robotech though I guess it'd really just be Macross. Never cared for the next/new gen and Masters in the Anime though I did like the Invid design. I highly doubt this game would get played in my area. I watched a few vids from the link above and have to agree with the guy about the cards. They already had a large card for squads, they should have made the double-sided character cards on the large cards with both side info on the same side. I'm wonder if you are really supposed to mark them up with a marker or something like the guy was saying.

They aren't Hobo.

They're supposed to be. One of the things the big discussion points during the kickstarter was that they were deliberately making this the same scale as battletech.

I was planning on trying to get a group working on conversion rules on this forum

http://www.robotechgamecenter.com/forums/index.php

Once it was out.

Somehow, having an organized group on FFGs own forum whose purpose is to make it so people can buy another company's miniatures to play FFGs game seems wrong.

This shall be a day long remembered lol

Can't wait!

Happy to here I may finally get this stuff. Wonder how support for this game will go, due to most people I know that have any interest only want the Macross stuff not so much Southern Cross or Mospeada and definitely not the junk that Harmony Gold came up with later. I've been hearing lots of angst from Ninja Division that did all the sculpting having to deal with Palladium so hope the game is actually alright after it all. Hopefully going to be fun fighting over my mates Dropzone Commander city terrain or my neighbour's N scale Japanese railway terrain.

See I was pretty sure they were going to be similar glad I'm not insane, will find out for sure before splurging though.

I talked to some of the palladium guys at gencon. They said they are likely going to do the other generations all together and that they are leaning toward including both 6mm scale and larger, probably 15mm scale figs on the same sprue to accommodate the fact that the southern cross and especially invid mechs are so much smaller than macros era stuff.

As for rules, I have no faith at all in any rules system palladium is involved in, that's why I would like to have a serious fan project to make x-wing stats for robotech figs.

There was a guy at gencon who was specifically taking scale comparison pictures of the RT-RPG-T (how's that for a game abbreviation) miniatures next to old classic BT figs he brought with him.

The mechs I'm interested in seems to be the right size the zentraedi mechs are too big but I'll be able to get classic looking warhammer and archers so I'm happy.

Yeah, my understanding is that they wanted to draw in some BT customers by making the appropriate mechs a good match for the BT unseen.

Still no tracking number for me.
