So, I have a Decimator from the Gencon early release and wanted a cool, themed list that could represent the Imperial Navy's attempt at interdicting Rebel Blockade Runners. It wasn't designed with "the best" set up in mind, it was designed with how the Imperials might form such a task force.

It seems it would be a fun flight to run.

This looks like a lot of fun! It might be anti-thematic, but if you're trying to squeeze some more effectiveness out of it, I would definitely consider taking Determination on Kenkirk instead of VI. You don't want to be losing his pilot ability!

I could certainly go with Determination, it's a pretty Imperial minded upgrade.

Kenkirk is still higher PS than the rest of the squad at PS4, so he's still the "boss".

Edit: Since you added Defenders (or I just noticed them), Heavy Laser Cannons on them would be perfect for "heavy fighters".

2nd edit: Fleet Officer and Isaard really don't play well together, unless you add Yorr to eat the stress from Fleet Officer.

It would look pretty awesome on the table as well :-)

I was just going to suggest a bomber wing instead of TIE Defenders, but cool list none the less OP.

Fleet Officer is there to allow the defenders to get of the missiles with TL and Focus, I could replace the missiles and the ion cannons with HLC's, just thought the ion's for stopping the Rebel scum seemed themed.

They won't be any slower than a VT-49...

I prefer the Defender over the Bomber if we're taking sides.......

A variant could be to drop an Onyx and add 2 x Scimitar with proton Torps :-)

Sorry, that line should be gone completely. They are pure Academy, no upgrades.

I think the points of those upgrades were taken out in this new version. It looks like they were just left on by mistake due to copy and pasting.

OP: To really play with the 181st theme, why not drop the TIE fighters and add in Lt. Lorrir and a few more Sabre's?

This gives you five points to play with for flavor. Probably not as strong a list, but it does feel like an Imperial trap. Seven interceptors racing ahead with the Onyx and VT-49 cleaning up.You lose two models, but hopefully make up for it with speed, skill, and firepower.

I like that suggestion as well BaronFel. (I was looking to use a variety of my ships though as well)
