You don't need to cause damage. As long as in range 2 front arc suffer stress.

Combined with Gunner as long as first shot doesn't do damage then suffer extra stress.

Or fire at something else at range 2 front arc and cause 2 ships to be stressed

Correct, rear firespray arc is still considered the firing arc, it just can't shoot secondaries backwards

I like coupling it with the ion canon. Stress + Ion is dirty.
