NEW GAMING CONVENTION!

This June, Jasco Games will be hosting our first annual Bad Ass gaming convention (also referred to as BaCon) at the Science Spectrum in Lubbock, Texas. We will be hosting tournaments for Warhammer Fantasy™, Warhammer 40K™, and Warmachine/Hordes™. Also during the weekend there will be a Universal Fighting System™ regional qualifier, a Magic: the Gathering™ Type 2 Constructed tournament, a Dungeons & Dragons™ event and many other side events. Throughout the weekend, other venues will have their own events and stands.

This event will take place the last weekend of June, and we have a ton planned. Sign ups for events will begin today, April 21st. If you are interested, contact Jason at Jasco Games to sign up. If you do not want to play competitively, we will be doing many side events all weekend such as video game events, card events, Warhammer™ pick up battles and much more. We are looking for bands for the event so if you want to play, or know people who play please contact us.

The event will be June 27th and 28th. The following events can be signed up for and I will post the maximum player limit for each event. The fee for each event is specified next to the event.

We are also looking for volunteers and other vendors for this event. If you would like to volunteer, or become a vendor please contact Jason at Jasco Games for details.

Warhammer and Warhammer 40K Demo Games

UFS Demo Games
All day Saturday and Sunday

Other events will be posted later by the other vendors at the store. (Game Stores, Comic shops, and other vendors will be present)

Do you know what kind of prize support there will be for the UFS event? The entree fee seems a little high compared to most, but it doesn't seem like much of a problem really; Does this reflect in the support at all? I presume you're the one hostin the ufs event, if so, It was nice meeting ya earlier

I am curious as to what the prizes are...

We will have the regional tournament kits for all three events to give out as prizes, as well as boxes, door prizes, promo and league promo cards, packs, and more. I will have the complete prize list up on www.jascogames.com/forum under BaCon for UFS shortly.

Standard Tournament

All participants will receive:
1 league promo
1 UFS standard pack
1 UFS promo only available to regional participants

Top 8 will receive (in addition):
1x Custom UFS vitality Counters
1x Regional promo Pack

Top 4 will receive (in addition):
1x Regional Exclusive UFS Art Prints

2nd Place will receive (in addition):
1x UFS Booster Box

1st Place will receive (in addition):
1x UFS Booster Box (total of 2)
1x Card Plaque Trophy
1x Dark Stalkers Play Mat

Other prizes will also be given out that were not listed above. We will be sponsored by various gaming stores, and should have a nice addition to the prizes.

Legacy Tournament

Will be the same as the standard.

Teams Standard

We will list this as soon as we find out what the FFG prize support will be. May not be listed until day of the event, but it should be about the same as the other two tournaments.

So far we also have a first place trophy for all three events. More prizes will be listed shortly.

So, can beginners like myself go to this regional? Or will there be no shot of me having fun and only competitive players there that do not want to free play for fun? Just wondering! Thanks.

We should have all ranges of players. There are a few competetive players coming up but it should be fun and the prize support is great.

The tournament is comming up shortly! We are taking pre-registration. If you sign up before the event we will take $10.00 off of the entry fee!!! So far we should have more prize support than any other regionals event ( I just ordered more kits yesterday) and we have our own trophies from the store. Also this will be the LAST TIME we can use Olcadan's mentoring, Lord of the Makai, and Chesters Backing!!! So bring up your decks for one of the last tournaments ever with these cards!

I would be more than happy to play some games for fun. I went to the regional in Dallas and played...had only been playing for a month at that point.... All the guys were cool and I had alot of fun. Even the competive players that I have met have been pretty laid back...thats one of the reasons I like this game so much.

Yeah, I'm excited, I've only started about 3 weeks ago, so this game is fairly new to me. Hopefully, I can play some players and perhaps steal a match or two in the regionals :P

Hey Jasco, I got an EMail saying you sent me a private message, but I've no idea how to respond (or how to check them online).

I doubt I will be going. By now, it's likely too late to put in a request for the day (or two or three) off, especially since I work at a movie theatre which NEEDS people to work the weekends, ESPECIALLY since Transformers is coming out.

Besideswhich, I doubt I'll have the money =/

It's a possibility, but not a probability. Sorry man, but hey, good luck getting people n' all! Tell me how it goes!

Hey boy, couple of us up from Dallas are coming, Shelby(myself), Wakeen(MegaGeese), and Jacob(Steele) , will be heading down that way friday nite and coming along, just thought id give ya a heads up

Aw man, more players T_T I was hoping I could default into the top 4! =(

Lol, oh wells, at least I'll get to see good players play and maybe I can learn something! ^_^

Also, out of those guys, how did they place at the Dallas regionals?

MegaGeese won the event and I think Shelby was top 8.

O_O Mega won the whole thing? Great, I'll just save my 25 bucks then and go play with the little kids. T_T

Hey Just, were just coming to play and have fun, no need for intimidation really. Imo were actually some of the easiest people to play with gran_risa.gif

What Shelby said. If you've never seen people sing while playing UFS, well...you won't be able to say that once we leave. Last time it was the old McDonald's theme song, plus the most basic lines from the song every time Reunited hits the board xD

CAUSE IT FEEEELS SOOOO GOOOOOOOOD

And even if I make it to the finals, I'll give my opponent the win and then we can play for fun =D Plus I don't even know what I'm playing xD I'm probably going to try to not use Chester's/Makai/Olcadan's, to get used to not having them, as well as make things more difficult for myself (i.e., more fun) =D

And I'm actually most excited about the Legacy event. I can't WAIT. So many ridiculously busted strategies...can't choose just one D=

*probably promo Alba*

I REAAAAALLY want to go, but expenses ugh ;_;. but man, legacy does sound fun. Adon...Yun-Seong...Dhalsim...Bison...MMM.

So if we make it to finals, you better double scoop! :P

Wakeen and Shelby are quite possibly the most fun people I play against. :D

They may be good, but they're not all stuck up about their "skills" like other people are... lol

I think I may have the days off I would need to go.. Money might be an issue however.. -_-

woohoo, we're exactly one week away! ^_^

Annoucement!

Sorry Dallas guys, its been cancelled. So don't come up. Just stay home and... not come to Lubbock.

Cough, Cough.

I wanna win.

Stay home! =D

Also, are you guys bringing up some of your common/uncommons? I'm looking to trade to get some new stuff T_T. Anyone have anything off my want list?

Any one from Lubbock know what happened to Steven(Ohsteven on these forums...or he was) because I have not been able to contact him and I think this trade might be going bad >.>
