Twin Firespray Scum and Villainy

By slim chaney, in X-Wing

Short story long.......

One of my lists is 2 Firesprays plus a squint. I really want the new Boba card from most wanted.

To run a twin Firesprays + most wanted ships, y-wing/z-95 I'm going to need 2 sets of most wanted for the Firesprays dial aren't I?

Even if the manouveres on rhe dials are the same I still won't play unless I have the correct dials......its not looking good for me is it?

I guess I'll have to pick 2 sets and sell 98% of one on unless someone else has an idea

Fingers crossed.

Yeah, I'm concerned about this too. I already have two Firesprays, and one Most Wanted box will give me almost all the components I could need to run two (as long as the list isn't 2x Scum generics). If I have to buy a second pack just for one maneuver dial, I will be an unhappy camper.

I think I plan to buy 2 sets and doubt I'll be using 2 firesprays, will see nearer the time but I was already planning to offer the conversion kits to people on here.

Quite kind of you, but I suspect covering the postage from the UK would be a significant portion of the cost for me to get a second kit.

...now, if you wanted to throw in one of the rumored Biggles pilot cards...

Or just but the box and put the bits on e-bay, it'll probably pay for itself.

Probably my plan, I just hate buying stuff just to sell it.

You can still use the normal dial for the S&V ships, so one set should do you, unless you want the 2 dials for aesthetic reasons.

It's really early to be making any purchase decisions, we know what, one pilot, one upgrade?

Thing is, I only really want the Boba card and dial, a 3rd small ship is a bonus. I would want to field a tournament legal force and not have someone say "you can't field a S&V firespray with an imperial firespray" and have to go through explaining the use of different dials.

Like you said, I've got plenty of time to make a decision, just pondering out loud.

I really think they should have put the conversion pieces in a separate set. I only really want one set because I don't care for how the Y-wing looks, but definitely want those new upgrades. Were it only a Y-wing and 1 Z-95, I would probably go ahead and get two. Decisions, decisions...

I am thinking this way too, I already have four Ys and four Zs, this will bolster my Z swarm for sure.

On the other hand, the girlfriend is saying there is no way I will be able to live with trying to field Kath and Boba with mismatched dials...

Maybe try to find a local that wants a lot of the box to go in on a 2nd with? I see the Most Wanted box as being great trade fodder.

I believe this was covered in the Interview with the designers.. they know we cant all have all the good stuff right up front, and there will be some wiggle room. And why I made my earlier statement.

Like I said, if it messes with your own personal OCD, then by all means buy up a couple, but I'm sure the dials will be legal. When you register for a tourney I'm sure you sign up as which side you are.. don't really know haven't done tourneys for this.. but in my Legends of the Five Rings CCG days you did.. or you sign your list and faction.. I'm sure the TOs will understand..

i have 2 on order =)

I like the fact people are saying there only getting one set of "most wanted"

Your fooling yourselves. Everyone knows they'll get at least 4 sets. Only way to rock scum z-95 swarm.

I can't see FFG demanding Scum Dials. The only reason they would would be to force you to buy more Most Wanteds, and the large number of surplus they give you (an extra set of Y-wing stuff for example) indicates they're going the Customer Relations rather than moneygrubbing route. I bet the only reason they give you Scum dials is to give you the option to use all Scum dials.

Yep, will probably be buying the dials off of other people. 4 Firesprays here. :'(
