Have not had a ton of luck with my defender as much as I like the ship. Thought about trying him with a mini swarm. Any builds you guys have gotten some success with?

I'm a Boba Fett fan, so I've been using:

Boba Fett - Veteran Instincts and Navigator (Used to use Outmaneuver and I love it on him, but Veteran Instincts guarantees I'll be going at the very least after the phantoms have moved)

Delta Squadron Pilot - Heavy Laser Cannon

I like it just cause it's 3 flankers, all of which are pretty powerful, Boba Fett is my main guy getting in the thick of things while my Defender hangs back using the Heavy Laser Cannon as a sniper, and then there's the Interceptor running around with a nice attack. I've only tried it as a fun list, not super competitive, but it's worked well for me.

I've haven't played this list yet, but it seems like it would yield reasonably good results:

And finally, there's this, which--for a list that includes a Defender--is a pretty swarmy swarm. I haven't had great results with it, but I haven't played it much either: a win against a weak list, and a loss against a tough 3-ship list that rolled really well.

Sits at an even 100. Run them all in a formation, first engagement you are rolling 11 buffed dice which should hit hard. Once Howly goes down, you can split the formation up. Send the AP to block and get the squints in behind the enemy squad. The Delta will either draw the hate or the squints, still works either way.

My first thought was 'mini swarm of what?'

I'll be trying this out this sunday unless someone has a better idea of how to put it together:

Double naked named pilots probably doesn't come off as intuitive but it seems promising.

I don't know if there's a wrong answer, you can customize 4 TIEs in so many different ways. You just use the ones that have abilities you like.
