With Scum Boba on his way, getting rerolls, would Stealth Device maybe not be such a bad idea now?

Maybe with Recon Specialist too?

If you could get into range 1 before someone shot you, then yeah SD might be ok. Still rather take a HU.

To be honest, I still don't see it as too useful. You are unlikely to get into range 1 of enough ships to make it worth while, and if you do they will be shooting back at range 1. They will be shooting extra dice against your rerolls. I need to proxy this and figure out if there is anything there, but I kind of doubt it.

Stealth Devices are better on high Agility ships (3+) because there is a lower likelihood of losing it early. On a low Agility ship (2 or lower), you tend to lose it on the first shot. Not a good investment of points. I like to take Howlrunner with one in a swarm because it really ups her survival odds. Nobody wants to shoot at a 4 agility ship with an evade token.

My best ship is a Firespray with a Recon Specialist, and Boba seems like he'll be amazing with one too, now. I still think the Stealth Device is a bit finicky on a 2 Agility ship, but for the same cost you'll be able to slap on a Countermeasures! Only works for one turn, much like the SD realistically would, but instead of "until first hit" it's the entire round! Pop it when you're knee-deep in TIEs and Boba will be pretty hard to hit, provided you got your action. Seems like fun!

I'd say give him an Engine Upgrade to get him into RB1.

Had an idea. Give him Stealth Device and Recon Spec, then give an ally Bodyguard. He gets 4 agility with focused defense, possibly 2 focused defenses a round.

Stealth Device, Recon Specialist and Lone Wolf.

Lone Wolf help you while you get into range 1, once there, that is one more reroll as long as you don't have an ally in range 1-2 of you. Synergize well with Boba ability, fit the character and the lone wolf picture is the Slave 1. What more can you ask?
