I think both can work, but I like the sabers with ptl as they are going to survive longer.

If you can work it in to some lists, I'd suggest trying to fit an HCL on Rex.

Both seem solid. Maybe the first one to play around with Push the Limit. You won't really know until you try it. Defenders are very difficult to fly but hopefully the PS8 one can catch people off guard. Sometimes the best maneuver is the most obvious one and people plan for defenders to be obvious.
