Just updated on Vassal to new version.

Now when I try to roll dice, the program locks up. Anyone else having this issue?

I haven't had this problem myself, and I haven't seen anyone else complaining about it. You might try reinstalling/installing the latest version of vassal, redownloading the module, and making sure java is up to date. If that doesn't work, you probably should message Mu0n if you see him online, or reply to one of his threads on TC, like this one. Good luck!
