Nobody fields the Tie Advanced without Darth Vader.

I run Maarek Stele from time to time, and even sometimes fly 3 Tempest Squadron Pilots with Cluster Missiles.

I , sad to say, like flying the advanced, however only have 2. I don't want more then I'll use once they do drop the pack with the advanced fixes. Not like with my squints of which I have 7.

Just a refresher, have any of us been running out the Tie Advanced for some flight time to keep warmed up with it as we await the fix ? Anyone but Vader seeing the flight deck ?

I'll third this brave mans, bravery.

I play a Storm Squadron list every once in a while, but I also play exclusively solitaire, so I suppose it doesn't really count.

You know funny. I'm thinking of running a Tempest as a squad leader in my campaign. You get a slight bonus of XP by killing squad leaders (think Chinese generals going after each other's heads) and Tempests don't die very easily.

I did also give them a home-buff -3pts and a systems slot.

Well we've seen titles now that give upgrade slots, and some that minus cost, so I suppose both wouldn't be too hard to imagine, or ones perhaps that open a slot and give you a free item to fill that slot might be nice as well.

I fully support your requests!

1) The Vader/TIE Advanced package has to be a viable choice (at least). Come on! He is the best Pilot in the Galaxy and the TIE Advanced is built according to his specifications. Vader should be a menace to every other Pilot... but currently he is basically not fielded by experienced players at all. It's a shame really!

2) In Star Wars, the Imperium is famous for its capital ships. It is beyond all bearing that the rebel scum is roaming the Galaxy unchallenged. Impossible!! ;-)

Indeed! And also

3) in Star Wars, the Imperial Navy was able to field ships that were significantly bigger, tougher and packed more firepower than anyone else! The Rebels are able to field a bigger ship than the Imperials can? Inconceivable!
