Is the YT-1300 the only ship with lowered ship stats for the no name pilot (ORS, right)? Why can't they just improve the stats on a new card? Three attack would do it, no? Maybe a little lower cost, too. Ban the old Vader and give him a better TIE/A!!

DevotedKnight, while I think your idea is cool, I'm not sure I like it that much. Haha, a lot of stuff to keep track of. I mean, why not just put a targetting computer on a tie and call it a day?

That said, a EW bomber would be awesome.

And yes I agree. They're getting farther away. I just want them to go back and revise things. not add anything more. Other than Imperial Huges, I want nothing more.

You say that now, wait till you get an variant on your favorite ship! These variant are for all ships and all factions.The Variant card, this really means is different upgrades printed on the bottom of the pilot cards. That it switching out Upgrades.

FFG follows the fluff, most if not all of those variances have no place in the fluff.

I humbly ask for admittance because I am super bummed that the Dark Lord of the Sith flies a broken ship. And I would have taken imperial huge's over ANYTHING that was announced.

I'd love to see an advanced Starfighter set with a TIE Avenger model or two, and some upgrades/pilots for the TIE Advanced/Defender. Say Vader and Stele as Defender pilots (like in TIE fighter), Admiral Zaarin as a TIE Advanced/Avenger pilot. Say pull more fun from TIE fighter and add the beam systems- jamming, decoy, and tractor, as Imperial only modifications. And to make the TIE Advanced more useful, how about an X1 or X2 title that allows it to make the new S-turn instead of a K-turn? that would instantly make it more unique among the Imp fighters.

I think the game is great and will still be if these two things aren't addressed.

That being said, FFG I would spend up to $250 on the iconic Star Destroyer. So $300 MSRP isn't a problem for one more customer...

Yeah bummed about an Imperial Huge not being annouced or teased. Im sure we'll get down the line but it certainly (for the moment) doesnt reflect well on epic play and size of games re Armada annoucement and lack of a large ship.

Saying that though im sure there is stuff in the works and FFG are keen to continue the success of the X-wing line.

Ive several ideas for stuff id like to throw out there so lets begin!

Battle Of Yavin 4 - Vaders Wing

This box could contain a new black/darker paint scheme Tie Advanced (WITH FIXED RULES!) and 2 tie fighters. Using the existing models it could be fleshed out with new pilots/squardons along with fixing rules for advance - possibly a new 'I have you Now' card or skill for vader lol

Battle Of Yavin 4 - Red Squadron Aces

This box set of 3 x-wings (think same size and cost as new faction boxset) could feature the existing x-wing model with a slight re-paint and cards for Red squadron pilots not done already along with introducing new characters.

Battle Of Yavin 4 - DEATH STAR TURRETS

Shiny new boxset featuring full rules, cards and Models for Deathstar turrets. These new models could also be used in tournmanet play to jazz up the somewhat dull asteroids perhaps and introduce a new mode of play

(I feel this one is a no brainer re product to shift and something players would probs end up buying several of.....i know i would!)

You could also go as far as doing releases around specific missions or battles from EU or famous computer game missions:

- Battle of Endor could be a great re-paint box with exclusive Art cards perhaps.

- Besbin Expansion for atmosphere games. Box could come with 2 cloud cars and mission for protecting Gas plaftorms

- Battle of Mon Calamari. Do a kick ass tripple TIE/D boxset. Mon Cal Aces with an X-wing and E-wing

Now onto those Epic Ships

Imperial Gozanti Cruiser

Well the Gozanti is a must (the Rebels version we've seen so far) with 2 Ties bundled in the box (this for new pilots or to re-use the existing models once again Or perhaps with 2 of the new ties from Rebels?)

Tantive Repaint

I think this wouldnt be a no brainer if we couldnt get any more new sculps released. Pop some Imperial counter parts to the Rebel characters and could be a good release for the community certainly

Pirate and Scum Epic

For Pirates/Scum expansion im hoping we'll see the Action VI transport or 'Wild Karrde'. I can see players wanting 2/3 of these for Epic play and games. It would be a sweet model let alone awesome terrain and scenario piece too

Rebel Epic

Well a simple one - give us a Nebulon B!

I feel this could be produced (probs a £100/$150 cost price) but i bet it would sell!

Its also i think the largest X-wing should go as far as size is concerned and physical models on the table. It should be done at 1/450 scale or possible 1/600 scale at the smallest.

Mon Cal Escort

A small Mon Cal ship, with new characters and rules. Introduce an Admiral Akbar card or maybe a General Nadeem. Basically make it along the same shape lines as any Mon Cal ship and your got a winner!

An official collectors Album for cards

Spare and replacment stands/pegs

Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight Pilot Card or X-wing Variant

New Starter Set with new Rulebook featuring amendments and scenarios collated from all releases

Doing scenario/mission books - Dark Empire for example and getting players to go for linked battles and campaign style play

Really wish there was Imperial Huge... I even bought a plano 3" deep open tray to fit it, since I already had a full rebel one.

While there are some other excellent suggestions, I prefer not to dilute the original intent of this thread.

I would like to see Epic play have continuing support, specifically with the addition of new ships.

I'd also like to see enhancements to the Tie Advanced to make it more enticing for players to use in their squads, whatever those changes might turn out to be.

And, yes, it would be more than acceptable to kill both these birds with one stone.

Another day and I hope we've all seen the comments in video from gen con where, we, the tie advanced fans were told, " Have faith, your not forgotten ". I don't think I'm alone saying, that was a breath of fresh air to hear that.

However with the releases known till the end of the year for X wing, we must wonder how much longer must we wait ? How many more months, till we, the Tie Advances, fly proud and fly full and make our detractors suffer ? Might we, one day, even make people jealous ? Envious ? We can only hope and only the future can answer that.

As for our Imperial Huge, we still wait and wonder, asking when, when Lord Vader, will it be our time ?

The answer, only silence, so a dream of what will be, and hope for what has yet to be.

So the state of the Tie advanced and imperial huge for today is, hopeful in knowing, we are not forgotten.

Nott really sure ; but it seems that FFG is suddenly grasping at straws...After seeing all of the interview clips ; it is becoming more apparent that there has been a huge shuffle in the decision for ship releases...The mystery is still ominous about what is coming next , and enough sly hints on what to expect...For me Worlds will be the deciding factor on whether to relinquish my huge collection , or create more space for more awesome ships...To say the least the players in here at least should be satisfied about getting their third faction and new pilots...On a side note : It really is a no - brainer about whether the FFG reads any of the posts in here...After all this is their domain lol...
