Suppose FFG had to decide weather to pursue Armada, or Huge ships in X-Wing. Suppose they scrapped the idea of any more Huge Ships, instead focusing solely on Armada. From my point of view, I'd be pissed. I purchased the GR75 and CR90 BECAUSE I wanted to use them, at least a little, and nobody is really using them very much until the Empire has their own version. It's just not as much fun playing a Corvette vs only TIEs.

So which direction would you rather FFG go... IF they had to pick one. Armada, or Huge Ships for X-Wing? (Not saying they are picking only 1, but I'm just curious).

I'd rather them focus on X-Wing personally, mostly because I'm already halfway invested into being able to do epic play into the game.

I like the Epic feel of X-wing, where individual fighters still matter and you can pull off combos that you normally can't do in standard games.

I'm very excited about Armada, it's looking to be even better then I had hoped. I really dig the idea of a true cap ship game.

That said I'd like to see at least 1 Imperial epic ship. I like Epic from what little of it I've tried, but find the lack of a Imp ship unbalanced in a way. Not that the game is unbalanced but the CR-90 would be a lot more useful if there was something big for it to shoot at.

It's a tough question. I haven't had a chance to play Epic yet, although I do own both huge ships. I'd been very much looking forward to playing it. I was also very much looking forward to Imperials getting a huge ship or 2.

That being said, Armada looks like a good time.

I rather have Armada for my capital ship needs, but they at least need to put out 1 huge Imperial ship to add to Epic. Right now epic is a bit boring.

I'd put my money on 1 imperial epic ship getting released and one "conversion" kit for the CR-90.

Armada looks cool but if I have to choose between the 2...xwing.

X-Wing Epic is boring right now... and the huge ships don't stand up against 300pts of non-epic ships. (if I ever ran an Epic tournament: I'd mandate at least a certain number of epic points be used in the list - but that's further boring with just rebel epic ships...)

I've no real interest in armada... iv'e huge BFG fleets if i want fleet scale actions.

I personally cant see FFG seeing much business sense in trying to make xwing do what armada is built for so i'd expect nothing too huge for imperials.

Epic only for missions and campaigns for me. Which are freaking fun by the way, if you haven't played them you totally should!

Armada for anything else involved with capital ships.

Don't get me wrong, i actually like the rules of the transport (haven't played against the tantive yet), but not as something i would like to see withouth a reason behind. Different tastes of course.

maybe we can get that energy mechanic at the xwing level... IG-200 must have a lot of electricity running around in that ship...

Agreed the CR90 campaign is really cool but for me, those ships are 'scenario'things really.

Its a little bit like having a pacfic war zero's vs corsairs fighter game and then being buthurt nobody made a yamoto battleship becasue the allies had a torpedo boat.

Its Armada for me but I would like to see Imps get at least one huge ship for Epic Play even though I'm not sure I'll get the chance to play with it.

My heart is big enough for both games but, my wallet can't supply money of that magnitude! X-wing Epic is great fun and since I have not even tried or bought into Armada, the only logical choice for me is X-wing! Lol.

Not a huge fan of epic play. The ships are too big, I don't like the options we've been given, and there are too few of them. Even with 2 more there will be too few (or at least too few exciting options). Note even much of a fan of the mechanic. The only reason I buy them is for the cards that can be used in the regular game.

Not even sure if I care if the imps get a epic ship, as long as they come out with worthwhile imp upgrades one way or another. But, if it's in an epic imperial ship, I'm sure I'll get it for the upgrades.

I like the idea of Armada much better. Can get lots of ships and more variety on the table. I'll buy the starter and give it a try.

Epic....for now. Frankly, there's so much crap being posted everywhere (on unmanageable forums, no less) I'll wait until some more organized and presentable information comes out about Armadas.

When I get some free time, I can sit down and really get a grasp for it. Until then, Armadas seems a little dry to me. I'm sure it's pleasant, but doesn't seem as fun as x-wing.

Without actually playing Armada first, I obviously couldn't say for certain, but I've had a couple of really enjoyable games with the Epic scale ships so far.

I think the only thing stopping larger scale X-Wing games from catching on is the total lack of Epic scale ships on the Imperial side of the board at the moment.

Not sure how "cheap" Armada will be... 80-100 USB for the core which has 3 ships so it looks like expansions will be more expensive in Armada... You probably would get more bang with X-wing since there are so many formats and combo form small skirmishes to EPIC.

But not much info is out yet.

I will say that the first wave on Armada ships has left me really uninspired so far.

I saw the Rebel Transport and CR90 for X-Wing and immediately thought "WANT NOW"
