We all know that Beastmen mostly come from the mutant and touched babes left out upon the forest verge or at rural offering stones. There must be more to Beast society such as it is, that we would see beyond the field of battle. So for those of us into the WFRP rather than just table top battle.
I play Bretonnian campaigns with house rules mostly due to the rather empire centric fair. I got to thinking thusly.
Not all touched babes born and left by peasants be male. Those few females that survive art greatly valued, even ye least of them. These be called Ewes and they art almost human, akin unto Ungors, despised scum but useful as playthings, used thus to service and reward lesser warriors and keep camp.
Ye next more greatly valued type be called Doe's, with their delicate horns and soft fuzzy muzzled faces, and their skills in caring for the foundlings left at offering stones and forest verges.
The most valued of all females though, be thine incredibly rare and most valued of all females, “A Hind!”
Possessing oft thy greatest beauty and finest soft white or golden fur, just ye feel oft their delicate felt covered antlers be most desired by all beast pack masters. Great herd wars have been fought over thine possession o just one such wondrous rare creature.
{It be rumored that even certain powerful men, kept such rare beings for their own twisted reasons. Each one hast thy soft gentle beauty, head and antlers oft their name sake, blended within ye desirability oft thy most nubile woman!}
Far greatly valued still be thy fact that a Hind be fertile and can breed true. Unlike any of thy other unfortunate and twisted females or most males. The male babes born from a Hind will be sacrificed or devoured of course but thy true born. Are destined to grow into ye most powerful oft Shamanic Magus.
Does this sound plausible within the old world, Bretonnia specifically.
