Right next to Soontir and Carnor and pretty much every other interceptor pilot except perhaps Turr after Turreted Vaders enter the fray. Yay, a ship interceptors cannot even shoot at without receiving at least a crit in return. At least currently you can turtle up at Range 3 and hope to dodge return fire, but now even that is gone.

I'm mostly worried about spendy, yeah, it's a great effect. Bombers seem better cheap because, say, three of these is an extra Scimitar. Could be fun on Nera as it's a great Phantom-popper but the likelihood of other targets in R1 of the Phantom is iffy. E-wings are either expensive or low-PS enough to have troubles.

I suppose it could replace my go-to Flechette+Flechette+Deadeye+Failsafe on Nera but it'd have to drop one of the 1-pointers.

I've pretty much never run anything but bombs on Firesprays, they can fire out of the rear arc, yes?

Second word on the Decimator's tricky, and given the spacing the YT's has to be more that just wild-spacer

Looks that way. Don't see why they haven't done a heavy ion weapon like this before.
