Lone Wolf is probably best on a phantom. Predator or PTL is still better for most other ships I think.
New YT2400 Update!
Oh Force be with us...
Nera Dantels - Flechette x2 + Munitions Failsafe + ...
Eaden Vrill - HLC + Outrider + ...
Vrill's ability only works on primary, not HLC. Otherwise this would be scary.
Leebo (ship card) is like a reverse Maarek, heh.
Umm FAQ anyone? Maarek shoots Leebo and gets a crit. What happens?
Maalek looks at 3, 'deals' one and then Leebo gets another one.
Did you just reply to yourself? How many people are using your account?
Yes I did, and one. I figured I would look it up after posting.
I kinda like the idea of putting Lone Wolf on Brath in my Brath of God squadron over Outmaneuver. Now I don't have to worry about staying out of arc, just staying away from my squadmates, and I wasn't really flying him in formation anyway.
Am I the only one that thought the 360 model didn't look as good as the model in the rest of the pics?
I've just always thought the ship was ugly as sin... So the model looks about right to me.
Overall I like the ship and its design, but the engine area has always thrown me off..
experimental Interface is going to break something someday. Remember... Royal Guard Title Interceptors can take 2 mods... Something is going to break.
I don't think they'll let it break anything. The mods that add actions right now, add to the action bar, which EI can't give access to
It's more that they can take an action granting EPT + EI + another mod.
Right now:
Royal Guard Pilot+ title +EI + Marksmanship + Hull = 31pts
When you boost/BR/focus/evade you get a better version of focus to use for offense. You get a PS 6 Fel. You now can run 2 Barons for 64pts. 36pts left means there's a lot of room left!

Royal Guard + EI + Marksmanship + Hull is 34 points actually.
But that's beside the point, clearly PTL is still better for a interceptor. You can do ANY two actions for 3 points and a stress. EL + Marksmanship means one action is always pre-determined, and can only be used on offense. You also get a stress but pay 3 more points.
22+9 = 31. RGP's are 25pts in my head too because you always take them with PTL.
Your first action is not predetermined and your second action is a better offensive focus. It is not as flexible but it is the same cost and more powerful offensively. You could go all in on expose instead but that seems very risky here.
I'd run it with PTL Fel/Turr and force my opponent to choose between taking out the extra offensive output on the RGP and leaving the ace interceptor to end game or taking the Ace out and suffering more crits.
Broken, no. Watch out for new mods and the more powerful EPTs that have been coming, YES.
If only Backstabber could run Lone wolf. Someday buddy, you will get your EPT.
Backstabber is the original Lonewolf - he dont need no upgrade
He wants an EPT so badly.
An Interceptor with PTL has a choice of 2 of 4 possible actions. 5 Possibles if you take a Targeting Computer.
An Interceptor with EI has a choice of 2 of 4 possible actions, one of these can be of the action bar, one must be granted by an EPT or a future Modification with Action: in the text.
So an Interceptor with EI has a choice of Expert Handling, Squad Leader, Daredevil, Marksmanship or Expose.
I'm not sure the returns are worth the extra investment.

... and Lorrir and Kir! An EPT and those guys would see serious play.

There is no extra investment for most of those... all but one costs the same or less. Don't doubt that we'll see more Action: EPT's in the future and they are all pretty much bound to be better than the ones you've listed.

PTL is an investement of 3 points to double your actions.
EI is 3 points and you need an upgrade that provides an action, the cheapest of which are 2 points to either give someone else an extra action or to get rid of a target lock.
Interface+Expose does seem legit on the Decimator (and maybe even other ships). Similar to adding an HLC to a 3 atk ship. Same points but at the cost of taking your mod and ept slots (and -1 agi), but you also have the potential of 5 dice range 1 and can be used by a turret.

NA, it still costs 3 points and adds a stress, so it's essentially the same as PtL.
It costs the same, but the matrix of interactions is much larger.
PtL binds one of the two actions to the bar, which is a very limited set and very slow-growing (0.5 per wave). Additionally, PtL took the EPT slot, which meant no EPT+X interactions (at least until the Prototype Pilot comes along).
EI has no such limits. That means any two Action upgrades on the same ship have the potential to synergize in the same turn. Two crew on a Falcon, Crew+EPT, EPT+Astromech... not only are there many more interactions, it has a potential for complex effects for both actions in a way that PtL doesn't.
Not guaranteeing something will break, but there are definitely far more interactions than PtL can bring, and accordingly more potential for them to miss a (overly) strong interaction.
I must be the only one dreaming about the ramming fleet officer instead of so much expose... or even both expose + fleet officer on Chiraneau since he has an "inbuilt" focus. ^^
No dial reveal?

I also think that in a way it's cheaper when you consider it doesn't take up the EPT slot, but rather the in some cases much less useful modification slot.
Lone Wolf seems like a better version of Predator, for less. Firesprays & Defenders should love it...
So will phantoms.

I thought so, too, but will they like it more than Veteran Instincts?

You're right, but I'm sure FFG and the playtesters are keeping that firmly in mind. The set of "Action:" upgrades is actually pretty small, and partly as a result of Experimental Interface, I wouldn't expect it to grow very much or very quickly.

Agreed, and also, to add: this has always been an issue with free action passing from another ship (Squad leader, Lando).
I would really really love to have Isaard on my current Firespray list...but unfortunately it would put me 1 point over ![]()
I'm personally cringing at Biggs and R2-F2 (seriously, that guy just needs to die
He does! Pretty much every game he's in. ![]()
Anyway, this expansion has so many fun toys in it...
I look forward to flying this ship.

Good call, I kept mistaking Outrider title turning the HLC into a primary.
