New YT2400 Update!

That's interesting. It's the first real anti-swarm card--not in terms of hating swarms, but in rewarding players for running a ship apart from the rest of the list.
EDIT: A whole wealth of new spoilers!

Also information about debris clouds:
Normally, you can't perform a barrel roll if it would cause you to overlap an obstacle, but Dash's unique ability allows him to ignore that rule, as well as the negative consequences pilots typically suffer for entering a debris cloud:
- He ignores the stress token the debris cloud normally assigns.
- He doesn't need to roll an attack die. Normally, a player rolls one attack die and suffers one critical damage on a [KaBlam!
Expose + Experimental Interface could actually be a thing. Particularly on the Decimator, it's expensive but amounts to "take 1 stress to increase your attack value by 1 until the end of the round", which is... good.
Countermeasures + Proton Rockets could be interesting on YT-2400s. Probably still too expensive, but if you really want to just get up in the face of a couple of opponents...
Leebo (crew) is another Falcon buff, sort of. The biggest problem is going to be the fierce competition for those crew slots. Obviously Dash (pilot) likes to have Leebo aboard, enough that it will probably displace other options.
why can't we know ANYTHING about the VT-49? WHY?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Expose and Experimental interface could be useful, actually, hmm...

It's almost like FFG play-tested all these updates, or something equally crazy! ![]()
Crewman Leebo, like the article states is a half-cost Engine Upgrade (with limitations) and doesn't eat up your Modification option. It all comes down to what's important to each player as a squad build.
Experimental Interface and Eaden Vrill are Awesome. Now, Biggs can activate R2-F2 and Focus in the same turn without needing support. Both Leebo cards are definitely interesting. Not sure Lone Wolf will get much play over Predator. Lone Wolf is cheaper, but Predator is more versatile and less difficult to arrange focus fire angles. Lone Wolf may be popular on A-wings and E-wings, MAYBE Phantoms, but that's about it I think. I like the Counter Measures card, but feel like it shouldn't be Large Ships only if it is a discard.
Didn't see the cost of the Wild Spacer, though. Guessing 30 points. Eaden's ability is EASILY worth a +1 Premium.
Edited by Engine25Oh Leebo will definitely pair well with Dash as expected. Vrill is definitely making the ship's primary weapon look more appealing too.
I was excited but after reading those not very thrilled.
Only thing I see from this that I want is stay on target.
Can't wait to see more from the Decimator
Edited by Krynn007Is Leebo crew really **** or is it just me?
I was kinda thinking that too, but on a large ship at least you won't be immediately ionized the next round unless you're hit by another ion attack. it does make you more vulnerable, but for the cost it may be worth the risk. You'll just have to make sure the second time you use it your in a place where you don't mind going 1 forward next turn.
Is Leebo crew really **** or is it just me?
Just you. Keep in mind that large ships need 2 ion tokens for it to take effect.
I'm rather disappointed in the pilot abilities. Was never big on Dash's ability, and seeing the rest, I don't think I'll field many of these uniques. I'm waiting to see what the generic pilot costs, though.
The best part of this x-pac are the juicy upgrades...that Interface is going to be wonderful. It's like a baby PtL for any ship

This^
He is a drastically cost reduced Engine Upgrade without the Modification Trade-off but a pretty severe negative. Likely will never see use on any crew-able small bases, but I can definitey see it working well on a Falcon or Outrider. Will deflinitely help give another way to open that Range 1 hole with the Outrider Title+HLC.
Edited by Engine25Lone wolf on any named A wing with outmaneuver... good time good times. Cant wait for aces and wave 5, so many option just keep coming. keep it up FFG and see you at Gencon!
Lone Wolf seems like a better version of Predator, for less. Firesprays & Defenders should love it...
I'm loving Lone Wolf. Want to make a few lists around it. And Experimental Interface + Marksmanship!
I'm not the world's biggest fan of the TIE Defender, but Lone Wolf on Rexlar Brath with a heavy laser cannon? Hmm...
a few more expansions and we will have an endless amount of options and possibilities.. drools..
This game is really growing expotentially. it's great. Not even considering the new armada news. FFG, shut up and take my money!

Not so sure I'd call it "Better," just different. Predator is more versatile, and Lone Wolf will make it more difficult for some lists to focus fire, which means it will be limited in its use when they could pay another point for Predator.
Well, I think Rexlar is replacing Predator with Lone Wolf. Experimental Interface needs to be played around with. Some interesting possibilities.
Not sold on Countermeasures.

I was just thinking hat. Ten Numb + EI + Marksmanship = TL + SuperFocus with "guaranteed" crit? Sure!
There's also Squad Leader for action passing, Daredevil but that sucks, Saboteur, R5-D8, R7-T1, and R2-F2...Going through the list, there's really not much I'd wanna use.
I guess also Proxy mines, if you really want.
Eaden will be the one that most equip the HLC turret with.
Why? That completely negates his ability. thanks to wording. Outrider says you cannot make primary weapon attacks, but can use secondaries outside your arc. Eaden specifically states his ability works on primary weapon attacks, which you cannot do.
Edited by UnfairBananaVery nice update for the YT-2400. I was looking for this in the other 2 articles.
Oooh, also, I've been playing the stressy Hobbie lists recently. So Eaden will work great in those lists. I think he's my fav of the named pilots from this set. Have him off alone with Hobbie (and others) stressing the enemy and he gets additional dice and re-rolls (from Lone Wolf)
Experimental Interface is very nice, allowing for a PTL effect on Y-Wings or other ships with astromechs without EPT slots or needing the EPT for something else.
EI will work with:
R2-F2
R5-D8
R7-T1
Proximity Mines
Fleet Officer
Lando Calrissian (crew)
Saboteur
Daredevil
Expert Handling
Expose
Marksmanship
Squad Leader
