Corran horn as a flanker.

By Popn618, in X-Wing

I'm thinking and need help deciding. In a perfect world I could find a friend to run all 3 options in back to back games.

Option a: (hardest hit)

Corran Horn — E-Wing 35

Outmaneuver 3

Fire-Control System 2

R7-T1 3

Option b: (middle option)

Corran Horn — E-Wing 35

Veteran Instincts 1

Fire-Control System 2

R2 Astromech 1

Engine Upgrade 4

Option c: (maneuverability)

Corran Horn — E-Wing 35

Push the limit 3

R2 Astromech 1

Engine Upgrade 4

I think given his card text, fire control system is a really good match for coran, as it kicks in on the second attack as well, pretty much ensuring that he'll always have a target lock on anything he doesn't kill outright.

he's a great flanker, outmanuvuer makes that better. but to be a flanker, he needs enough other ships with him to take some of the heat off (i.e. do you go after horn to take him out early and stop him firing at you out of your arcs, but lets the bunch of z95s/awing/rookies hit you in the side?)

Your best bet it probably to go a tanky route with him. He will always have a big target on his back, so I don't know how I would feel trying to outmanuever or flank a phantom or a Int.

You may be able to move a bit more with ptl and engine upg. but for me, I will see it and just know that I want him dead ASAP.

But at the end of the day, it all comes down to how good of a pilot you are, and how good of a pilot your opponent is.

If you think you can out-pilot a phantom 9/10 then go for it.

If you add Adv. Sensors to option 3 you can go attack or tank as with PtL if you need to tank, take focus and evade with PtL then clear with a green move.

Attack, take TL and Focus, clear stress with a green.

Need position, Barrel roll and boost. Clear stress with a green move.

Or eat the stress and do any move you like.
