Sometimes our geekness bleeds into our real lives.
Are there any X-wing game terms you have used in your day to day life?
And how have you used them?
“Sometimes you just roll 3 blanks” (things have gone wrong)
“I need to take a green manoeuvre” (too stressed, need to chill out)
X-Wing terms used IRL
ballroom dancing practice, pole gets in the way.
"DO A BARREL ROLL"
"Taking a stress" and "pushing the limit" (although the second one was already sort of a thing, thanks to the Scarface soundtrack and GTA: Vice City).

If there's a conspicuously placed pole, I suspect it's not ballroom dancing you're practicing.
Exotic ballroom dancing. Metal bikinis optional.

"DO A BARREL ROLL"
That's not an XWING one tho...
"Let the wookie win"
We used this one when an older woman approached with some intentions to one of our friends in a pub last weekend.
When I see road signs like this:

I think "K-Turn!"

I do the same thing with the hard turn signs
One of the exits from my local mall has one turn lane with a sign indicating you can turn left, right or go straight.
Its literally a boost symbol.
When we're all driving around we do our best to use our "focus" and "evades" to clear through yellow lights and dodge traffic.
The opposite happens to me. The acronyms we use in game still messes me up a little because they are different in real life.
The funniest (and dirtiest) line I've had to ignore was "Chewie DTF's for Han" or something like that. Luckily, my player peer group doesn't get out much.

I think that's more of a Boost (and hopefully not a barrel roll)
