riffing on Wedge, Dutch, and Kyle

By GlassJaw, in X-Wing

I threw a list together with these 3 jokers a few weeks totally on a whim and it actually went really well. Handles Phantoms, lots of synergy, good firepower, and 2 turrets.

Here's the list I ran originally:

Wedge + R2-D2 + Expose 37

Kyle + Blaster Turret + Recon Specialist + Moldy Crow + Shield Upgrade 35

Dutch + Ion Turret 28

100

Here's a variant I'm thinking about:

Wedge + R2-D2 + Outmaneuver + Engine Upgrade 40

Kyle + Blaster Turret + Recon Specialist + Moldy Crow

Dutch + Ion Turret 28

99

Wedge + Outmaneuver means the target will have -2 Agility, and Boost helps him make that happen.

I've also thought about replacing Wedge with Wes and giving Dutch R2-D6 + VI so he can act first, get a TL, and give one to Wes in the same round.

Thoughts?

I think predator works better on wedge than outmaneuver.

Ideally he'll have a TL from Dutch so no rerolling rerolls.

Off the top of my head, just a couple minor changes:
Wedge + R2-D2 + Outmaneuver + Engine Upgrade (40)
Kyle + Ion Cannon Turret + Recon Specialist (29)
Dutch + Ion Cannon Turret + R7-T1 (31)
R7-T1 and "Dutch" get along pretty well. Although you can't store Focus without Moldy Crow, you should still get use out of two per round, one to pass and one to use on Kyle. Two Ions means a little less punch, but setting up Wedge's kill shots even more, plus the ability to double-team Large ships. That's personal preference, too, since I like the control of Ion more than spending Focus for a chance at more damage.
