Aaron Allston did pass away, yes, which does explain why he isn't writing any more X-Wing books! Michael Stackpole is still around though.

I'm sure the lack of new X-Wing stuff is a corporate decision, but I definitely would like to see the concept/series revived under the Story Group. Especially if one of the ancillary movies is, in fact, Red/Rogue Squadron related.

Personally, I think it would make a fantastic TV series.

One blank to a hit would be pretty powerful...maybe more than 27pts for a PS6 X-wing level powerful...

I don't know, Wedge is 29 for pilot skill 9 and his ability is at least as good. It is good though. Actually with EU and an R2 he unit could do it twice a turn. That might be too good after all.
