The point being, that while you can blame the dice sometimes, and to some degree, it's very rarely just the dice that cost you the game.

Sure they do, and they suck big time. The point myself and others have been trying to make is that you can't just blame the dice for a loss. They may be a factor but they are not the only factor, and IMO not even the biggest factor.

Plus that frankly blaming the dice is again IMO poor sportsmanship, because that means the only reason the other person won was due to dumb luck. Unless it's something like every attack I made are all <crits> and you roll nothing but <blank> and every attack you roll are all <blank>. So I kill 3-4 of your ships the first round we're in range, and then finish off your list the next round.

The first and best reason why it is laughable is because you literally have no idea what you're talking about.

The second is you keep saying you don't understand things, which is pretty obvious from the first point I made.

The third is your ideas are just bad.

There's an obvious formula to Ribann's methodology: make a highly polarized, unsubstantiated post, wait for somebody to disagree (usually in an objective and respectfully critical manner), then either aggressively defend his view point as if he himself is being attacked, or resort directly to trolling with single sentences that have nothing to do with the topic at hand. Popular responses consist of such fundamental and interchangeable troll building blocks as "nah," "lol," "bro," "cheers," or "m8," in no particular order.

Eh, from time to time you'll lose a game to dice. Not much you can do about it.

Worst case of dice luck I've had was rolling 1 focus and one evade on the first 21 evade dice of a match. Nothing you can do about that kind of luck except move on to the next game.

A good player will win more games than they lose in spite of the dice, however they'll still lose the odd game no matter how badly they out-fly their opponents.

It seems the moderators suffer from the same curiosity you've described. You'll find that most topics on this forum with a length over 3 pages long usually involve WOnderwaagh "educating" someone.

Let's just say that I've heard some very interesting and none too flattering stories about Ribann's vassal behavior. Besides, I get as much gaming action as I want in real life, with real people, at my local gaming store.

I can't speak for WAAAGH, but Ribann is consistently an abusive, lying bully in public, and as a result I find myself disinclined to spend extra one-on-one time with him.
